U.S. National Debt Clock : Real Time

Wild Thing's comment.........

This is incredibly scary stuff. The timing for everything with obama getting elected is the worst timing in the world for our country. If there was a conservative in office I really believe we would be on the road to recovery and we certainly would not be adding more debts like obama has been doing.

....Thank you Mark for sending this to me.

Obama talks about the national debt and how we are broke but they say we will spend our way out of it. Only a fool can believe this nonsense.

11.7 Trillion National Debt. They never mention the Unfunded Liabilities which is part of the country's debt. when all it said and done. The country's in the "hole", in the Red to the tune of 99 Trillion dollars. Arthur Laffer, a Reagan Economist, says, these are conservative estimates. That in reality it is probably much higher.

All totalled, each person in the United States owes more that 350,000 dollars.

Has Medicare prescription cost almost caught up with Social Security liabilities? I have already forgotten whch year Bush II gave that pig in a poke to us, but it can't be more than 4 or 5 years. The Rx costs in those few years have almost equalled SS which started 70+ years ago. Am I looking at that right? I knew that government drug paying project was going to be bad but, Dayum!!
