Obama Tells Russia's Putin the Cold War is History

Obama tells Russia's Putin the Cold War is history

President Barack Obama said former Russian President Vladimir Putin and his hand-picked successor should expect an in-person reminder the Cold War is over when the U.S. leader makes his first trip to a Moscow summit.

Days before he departs for Russia, Obama said Thursday that Putin "still has a lot of sway" in his nation as its nominal prime minister. "I think that it's important that even as we move forward with President Medvedev that Putin understand that the old Cold War approaches to U.S.-Russian relations is outdated," he said. "Putin has one foot in the old ways of doing business and one foot in the new."

Wild Thing's comment.......

What a freaking Moron Obama is, he is dangerously arrogant. Putin knows he is a joke.

Putin has already warned Obama that communism (socialism) does not work. Putin will and can run circles around Obama .

I’m in for Putin all the way. He’s my guy. Heck, I want Putin to run for president in 2012. Obama has proven that being a citizen is not required. I want a president that’s willing to kill the crooks, Putin will. I just wish Putin was Black, then I know he would win.

Putin = Mighty Mouse 2012

heh heh Ok I was just kidding, I could not resist at this late hour in the middle of the night er ah morning ( 4:30 a.m.)

I agree with WT. Putin would make a much better president that Osambo. At least, you would know where you stand (honesty) with him.

Why not? He doesn't have a USA birth certicicate either.

The cold war approach is over, it was over and W.Bush proved that. What does this moron not understand. We can't trust the Russians. He's going to get us all killed.

I'm losing an old friend every month or two to the grim reaper but I'll stay around until 2012 if we can get a ticket of Anybody/Wild Thing. In fact, a ticket of Nick and Chrissie would get my money and my vote.

Next week, July 6-8, 2009, Pres. Obama, and Pres. Medvedev will meet for the Moscow Summit, and US-Russia Nuclear Arms Reductions talks.

But, without any new Nuclear Posture Review (NPR), and Quadrennial Defense Review (QDR), respectively, the Obama administration lacks in strategic planning, as well in tactical planning of the US nuclear arsenal, both the strategic nukes, and the tactical nukes, e.g. their strategic, military, and political understanding of the US nuclear arsenal is unclear and hasty, and I see the following failures for the Obama administration after the Moscow Summit, as well as Pres. Obama sees the US nuclear arsenal as almost providing no national security, military, and/or political benefits, and he´s not prepared to use US nuclear force under almost any circumstance.

(1) A too deep cut of the US strategic nuclear arsenal to 1,000 deployed weapons, with the further risks of the breakdown of the classic nuclear triad, feeding the idea of zero nukes in the world, and its final goal of a global, e.g. US denuclearization, and the end of US as a superpower. (My remark: I strongly oppose this idea of "Zero nukes in the world," the deployed US strategic nuclear arsenal shoudn´t go below 2,000 weapons.)

(2) The tactical nukes will probably not be brought up by the Obama administration during the Moscow Summit, e.g. 10:1 in favor of Russia, whether it´s 10,000:1,000, or 4,000:400, et cetera, but Russia will most likely be the tactical nukes winner.

(3) Pres. Medvedev and Russia, aka Putin will force the Obama administration to link "success" in their strategic arms reductions talks with US and the Obama administration to force US into deep cuts of the US missile defense, e.g. to weaken US, and make her more defenseless of an attack from North Korea, Iran, as well as from Russia.

Who's pulling the marionette strings this time, Saturn finger Emanuel, George Soros or Geppetto? I know, it's that Easy Button Gibbs attached to his Teleprompter.

The Cold War is over, The Cold War is over. Polly Wanna Cracker? Squawk! Click! That was easy!!!!

I'm reminded of a recent ad with a "Stunt Groom" in it, who is Michelle's stunt groom when Obama can't even walk and chew gum with out a prompt to animate him, begs the question of who operates the hand puppet in the bedroom?

At least Putin has a grasp on fiscal and fiduciary responsibility. Obama is like a spoiled brat turned loose in a candy store, giddy with power!!! Come back Charles Whitman, we have a job for you.

Putin fooled Bush. Putin will run over obama like an 18 wheeler over a bug. Putin's biggest hurdle may be not giggling at how stupid obama is.

It would be funny if obama's teleprompter suddenly changed to Russian in Moscow. Hell, he all but demanded that the rest of us learn a second language.

Mark, he sure is. Putin will not be
talked to that way, behind his back nor
in front of him.
Obama really thinks he is the ruler of
the world.

Anon, thanks for the information and dates.
Obama will mess up big time. He is too weak
and hates everything about our defense and
our military.
