The Return of the Godfathers as Mob Bosses are Released

Daily Express

The FBI is on alert for the biggest Mob reunion of all time with six of the world’s most powerful Mafia bosses due to be paroled within months of each other.

All of them held key roles in New York’s five criminal “families” before being jailed for racketeering, extortion, conspiracy to murder and loan sharking. At least a dozen more underlings will also be freed this year.

Agents fear the mass release will trigger an unprecedented gangster bloodbath as the bosses reclaim their old positions. One senior FBI officer said: “Six of the Mafia’s most notorious capos and underbosses are hitting the streets at around the same time, as well as many henchmen.

“First, we expect a brutal power struggle as they push aside the Wise Guys who stepped-up in their place. Then we anticipate a series of turf wars between the families. When the dust settles, with hierarchies re-established, it’s going to be back to business…big time.”

The Gambino, Bonanno, Colombo, Genovese and Luchese mobs have fallen into disarray over the past two years. Rules of entry have been relaxed, with wannabe ‘soldiers’ allowed in if they can prove even distant Italian ancestry and murder no longer a prerequisite.

“Discipline has collapsed dramatically in all five families over the past two years,” said the senior agent. “They have lacked leadership and there are Mafia affiliates on the street now who would rather remain ‘independents’ than become ‘made men’ because there’s little kudos to being in the Mob these days, plus they get to have more control over their finances, rather than having to pass a hefty ‘taste’ of every illegal job they do up the chain to multiple capos, underbosses and godfathers.”

All that is about to change as the ‘dirty half-dozen’ bosses return to shake-up what mobsters and agents alike started to jokingly refer to as the’Cosy Nostra’.

The big six are Domenico ‘Italian Dom’ Cefalu, George ‘Big Georgie’ DeCicco, Joseph ‘Joe C’ Caridi, Benedetto Aloi, Matthew ‘Matty the Horse’ Ianniello, and Anthony ‘Fat Anthony’ Rabito.

Rabito is a Bonanno capo running rackets since the Seventies, when he was previously convicted during the famous Donnie Brasco undercover probe.

As well as the Big Six, Genovese capo Lawrence ‘Little Larry’ Dentico, 85, will be freed on May 12 after serving four years for running an illicit gambling ring.

Also due for release on parole on November 28, the same day as his boss Joseph Caridi, is Luchese capo John ‘Johnny Sideburns’ Cerella, 68, and the two are expected to be immediately reinstalled in their old positions of power.

Federal agents anticipate a further shake-up in the Bonanno hierarchy when veteran hoodlum Salvatore ‘Toto’ Catalano, 67, is released on November 14 after serving 29 years for drug smuggling and distribution.

He was a key player in the infamous ‘Pizza Connection’ case in the Eighties, when the Mob was importing heroin from Sicily and using New York pizzerias as distribution hubs. Another dangerous old-timer due for release is Salvatore ‘Sally Dogs’ Lombardino, 78, who has served more than 10 years in connection with the murder of suspected informer James Randazzo. Lombardino honoured the Mafia code of silence known as ‘omerta’ and has never uttered a word to authorities.

The senior FBI source said: “None will be happy about the way things have been run while they’ve been inside and mob soldiers will be trembling in their fine Italian shoes at the prospect of these men returning to take command once again.”

Wild Thing's comment.........

Heads up to Janet Napolitano and Rosa Brooks, Obama, Rahm , Eric Holder ( gun ban enthusiast ) and the rest of the Soros gang. Gosh all these gangs and Obama is working over time on his how to destroy America in 4 years agenda. grrrr

Several years ago during the race riots in Los Angeles, not the ones in 1992, the Watts riots. They were also going on in other States as well at the same time. The Mafia in Las Vegas got together, all lined up across a main street in the black residential area of town, long coats on and carrying appropriate weapons of choice. The instructed the soon to be rioters to think again if they had any plans on rioting in Las Vegas. The blacks backed down.

Maybe the Mafia will take on MS-13 the drug wars in Mexico and our border.

Some topics the Mafia might have a strong opinion on:

Janet Napolitano and her DHS
Banning guns
Hate crimes speech
"Voluntary service" of the Youth
Terrorists

My wife told me a story about a friend she would visit on the West Side of Buffalo. She was Italian and they were friends. One time while she was there an older man came over to visit and left. And it seemed after that one visit this guy would show up.

Finally Terry asked her friend who the older man was. Her friend replied, " Oh that's Mr. Magadino one of my father's friends." As it turns out this was the one and only Stefano Magadino, the Buffalo Crime Boss... But they got him too.

I don't think the Mob will ever be where it was, even 20 years ago. There is too much greed and everybody is looking out for themselves.

But Gotti was the last real 'Don' and would have never been caught had Sammy 'the Bull' Gravano not given him up. Even Valachi didn't do that much damage.

Mark, what a great story. Thank you for
sharing that. Wow, amazing and your right
too about the difference today and back
in the old days up to Gotti then it changed
a lot and got more like the street gangs.
I agree, Gotti was the last real 'Don'.
