Rep. Jan Schakowsky, D-IL, "Tea parties 'despicable"

The Hill

Rep. Jan Schakowsky (D-Ill.) blasted "tea party" protests yesterday, labeling the activities "despicable" and shameful."

"The tea parties being held today by groups of right-wing activists, and fueled by FOX News Channel, are an effort to mislead the public about the Obama economic plan that cuts taxes for 95 percent of Americans and creates 3.5 million jobs," Schakowsky said in a statement.

"Its despicable that right-wing Republicans would attempt to cheapen a significant, honorable moment of American history with a shameful political stunt," she added. "Not a single American household or business will be taxed at a higher rate this year. Made to look like a grassroots uprising, this is an Obama bashing party promoted by corporate interests, as well as Republican lobbyists and politicians.

This is the strongest language to date opposing the protesters, which, according to some estimates, topped 250,000 across the country.

Wild Thing's comment.......

Congressmen, including Schakowsky, who support unconstitutional spending increases, are despicable. What’s “despicable” and “shameful” is that our government is out-of-control, spending like there’s no tomorrow and completely disregarding the American people.

LOL Do they not realize that they’re calling average Americans despicable? Their own constituents.

No Schakowsky, what is despicable and shameful are these lies:

* “This Tea Party initiative is funded by the high end — we call it astroturf, it’s not really a grassroots movement.” … Pelosi

* “the Obama economic plan that cuts taxes for 95 percent of Americans” … Schakowsky

* ABC reports Obama is ‘Unaware of Tea Parties’

These tea parties really have the libs knickers in a bunch!

"Not a single American household or business will be taxed at a higher rate this year."

Unless you smoke or use any kind of energy, or buy products from companies that use energy or have a business that uses energy.

Ask a Democrat lefty "why" and watch their heads explode. All they can do is parrot the talking points given out in memos every morning.

Vilmar did a post on her where he husband pleaded guilty for tax violations in 2005. He also was accused of swindling nine financial institutions of over 2 million dollars. But, in true Democrat fashion, she was reelected.

“I am sick and tired of people who say that if you debate and you disagree with this administration, somehow you’re not patriotic, and we should stand up and say, “WE ARE AMERICANS AND WE HAVE A RIGHT TO DEBATE AND DISAGREE WITH ANY ADMINISTRATION!”

She worried that if this Tea-party thing gets too big they could lose some of their power.

Here's another you are a congressman only by the grace of the American People. Not because you are a democrat but because you fooled enough people to vote for you, Keep up your snarky remarks and those same people will see you unemployed.

That little reporter really got on my nerves. I think she was way out of her element and got scared, but she came across as a pompous little brat (I won't use the bad words I have chosen for her) who didn't like the answer the man was giving her and she just wanted to fight. The Teaparties were calm, collected and we didn't leave trash all over the place! If it's good for them, it's got to be good for us too or nothing works. You can't have one with everything and everyone else with nothing (whoops! That's socialism, isn't it?)

I wonder how many reporters CNN had out looking for a tea-party without African Americans. She found one party and that is why they put her on the air, racsism not because she is in their first string.

The MSNBC correspondances need to explain this "tea-bagging" that they kept talking about yesterday.

Another example of bipartisan free speech, that's why they so desperately want to make thought a hate crime.
