Nancy Pelosi Re:Tea Parties ~ "This Is Astroturf, Not Grassroots Protest"

.

Wild Thing's comment........

Speaking of artificial surfaces, what substance is Nanzi Pelosi’s face made up of these days? heh heh

Where does this idiot get off insulting tens of thousands of Americans because we don't want to be taxed more to pay for stupid, wasteful "investment" that lines the pockets of the corrupt politicians and their friends?

If this had been uttered during our Founders' era, Nancy would have 1,000,000 of the "Great Middle Class" challenging her to a duel.

She is a member of the wealthy elite. The Tea Party protestors were primarily Middle Class people. Pelosi has Astroturf for brains.

Typical response for an elitist when they know full well they have screwed up. This means they are looking for someone to blame when the whole economy goes completely south. Only 3 republicans voted in any way for this bloated pork budget and they know it, but still they will find someway to Blame Bush.

From what I've been reading the 'Tea-Parties' were a success. We just got to keep them going to drive home the point. The left like Pilosi will never admit it. But they got to remember '94 when they lost control of the House and Senate. They could well be on their way for a repeat performance.

Mark, I agree, I hope they do more Tea
Parties and keep hammering our point
home to them.

Nancy had her eyes open but apparently did not see and listened but did not hear what was being said yesterday.
She blames the whole economic mess on the past 8 years of the Bush Administration. The whole mess started with Fanny Mae and Freddie Mac as recall. On numerous times the Republican Administration, over a number of years, tried to pass regulations to prevent the problems that have occurred and the Democrats voted it down. “The Democrats” Nancy are at fault for the economic mess we are in much more than the Republicans. But I might add that the Republicans are responsible too for not pushing harder for regulation, and letting the people know what was happening (my opinion).
Also Nancy your party, “The Democrat’s” were in charge for the last two years and you did………………………….wait I am thinking,……………….. Oh yeah, NOTHING!!!! To attempt to stop the mess we are in.
You speak of the great Middle Class, well it looked to me like the people at the Tea Parties were the middle class Nancy, I did not see any elitist although I am sure there were a few there. I saw Joe the Plumber, Cheri the Lab Tech, Pete the Garbage man and John the cop.
Wake up and see (if you can stop blinking long enough) what is happening with all this government spending that my son will have to pay for. I’ll be dead and gone and he will still being paying it off when he is 50.
You and other Democrats have no clue what yesterdays tea parties were about. In Florida Democratic leaders said it was just a bunch of Republicans upset because they lost the election. Well it had nothing to do with Republicans or Democrats or Independents. It was about what the people of this Country want from their elected Representatives in Congress, you work for us, if I had my way I would fire the whole lot of you., It was about un-controled spending by Congress and I think it is just a start. You probably won’t catch on till there are several more tea parties and you realize we are serious.

Ms. WT,

Please understan this is indeed grass roots effort by the working conservatives in Cowtown, Tx.

I lost my job on March 27 so I sure as hell am no upper-class richie-rich. I have worked all my life and I was completely charged up by the program at the Cowtown Tea Party.

Nancy Pelosi is one of those richie-rich types, not us Tea Party attendees. Hell, she didn't know till last week what a curly fry is.

Do not overlook the historical signifigance of the Texas Governor saying he's drawing a line in the sand against federal encroachment. William Barret Travis drew a line in the sand at the Alamo in 1836 against Mexico City's tyranny.

We Texans are mad as hell and we ain't putt'n up with it any more!

Obama better remember the Alamo... we do.

John 5 (VN69/70), I love what you wrote
in your comment to Nancy Pelosi.

Posted by: Wild Thing at April 16, 2009 11:18 PM

Billy Ray, I know it is, working conservatives all
across our land.

I have been supporting it from the beginning. On
my blog and also at Facebook I belong to where
we emailed people to get the word out about their
State etc. for the Tea Party.

Billy Ray, I am so sorry you lost your job, and
for Nancy Pelosi to put we the people down, you
and I and all of us for attending the Tea Parties
once again show what a terrible person she is.
That is why I said we would challenge what she
had said and the put down she said.

Billy Ray, I have worked since I was 14 years
old and I probably will have to work till I die.

What the Gov. of Texas has done is so huge, so tremendous, it is historical and I wish every State
would do this, every Gov. but they won't.

Billy Ray, I lived in Texas for 5 years and loved it
so much. I had to move due to work but I will
always wish I could move back there. It has a
special place in my heart, as well as the people t
here.

I loved your comment and it goes right to the heart
Billy Ray. Always know many of us support Texas
and what is happening there.

Ms. WT,

Don't feel to badly for me. I get a little disability check from the VA for PTSD - I was a crew chief (door gunner) in Nam - and for hearing loss (go figure). I qualify for Voc. Rehab. so with some of our tax money I will get a masters in social work and counsel other veterans for the VA. I also got a 6 month severance package so I am enjoying not working for a short while. I'm amazed at how well the Unemployment folks treat us vets now. Far cry from the "welcome" we got back in 1969.

Did you contact KD Logue and BJ Sigman? I'm helping design a challenge coin for Operation Eagle Claw, the Teheran Hostage Rescue Mission. It will include in red letters the names of the three Marines KIA on that op.

You will absolutely LOVE Logue. He's a natural comedian. He actually got written up in Viet Nam for insulting a Doughnut Dolly! He was real sensitive about his baby face (he and I were the youngest in the squadron) and she called him Baby Cakes. Not sure if you got the email in which I sent their contact info.

Semper Fi, Love your blog!

Nancy Pelosi is a dweeb and can shove her comments up her astroturf. I work hard in the oil and gas industry on the Texas Gulf Coast. Her kind of crap doesn't go over out here on the rigs. I hope her face falls off.
