Prince Harry's Remarks No Big Deal

Source

It begins as the Prince—about to embark on training as a combat helicopter pilot—joins other cadets gathering at an airport for their flight to Cyprus. He is behind the camcorder, panning around sleeping comrades waiting for their flight.

As he films one cadet lying on the departure lounge floor, he says:

“This is luxury. And here is our first example of possibly how to admin yourself (slang for looking after your kit and keeping yourself in good order) in the terminal awaiting the RAF.”

The camera pans over other snoozing soldiers, with Harry commenting “now that is bad admin, bad admin” before he suddenly stops and zooms in on the face of an unsuspecting Asian cadet yards away.

“Anybody else around here? . . . Ah, our little Paki friend . . . Ahmed,” he whispers.

After arriving in Cyprus, Harry is on exercise with his platoon when he makes his second offensive racist comment. Once again he is behind the camera, filming in the dark.

One of his comrades has put what appears to be some camouflage over his head and as he looks up at the lens Harry says: “It’s Dan the Man . . . F*** me, you look like a raghead. Look at me. Look at me . . . look away.”

The video— obtained by the News of the World— then shows the Prince on manoeuvres in Cyprus with his comrades. Harry plays on-screen reporter, turning the video on himself as he walks along. Then still a Sandhurst military cadet, he sarcastically mocks the exercise they have been given to do.

“It’s hot, very hot. Let me quickly show you the camp, let me show you the pointless tasks,” he says.
“Maybe not pointless tasks, we have been given by the real Company Sergeant Major, which apparently is all very much worthwhile towards our education in the field.” The camcorder is passed to another squaddie. A cadet then introduces Harry as “Mr Wales“ and says the prince is “going to attempt to deliver a set of deliberate night attack orders in 30 seconds”.

The camera focuses on the Prince as he sits pretending to finish a call to the Queen.

I’ve got to go, got to go. Send my love to the corgis. Send my love to the corgis and Grandpa” before making his “God Save You” insult.
Afterwards he pops a cigarette in his mouth before barking orders about an upcoming exercise, saying “we will be wearing smocks, body armour, helmet, and all the usual s**t”. After giving the orders the exercise descends into farce when the Prince, wielding an army knife, asks his men if there are any questions.

Wild Thing's comment.........

Nothing racist about what he said. A terrorist killer can and should be called anything you want. If there were more Harrys in the world Britain might still be the Great Britain that we used to know.

He seems to have a good personality and good at keeping morale high.

I think they are maknig way too much about this.

....Thank you Mark for sending this to me.

I agree Chrisse, this is the world of the warrior and they speak in a way most don't understand. I hope they leave him be.

If they think that's bad, they should come over to my unit. They'd have a damn field day no pun intended LOL.

The British press has its knickers in a wad over this. It's hard to believe that at one time Great Britain withstood, alone, the juggernaut of Nazi Germany.

I guess all our troops that fought Japan during WWII were racist for calling them Japs and Nips? It's not nice to call people who murder innocent people names.

Ragheads. Is that a derogatory term for Arabs? I hope so. I call them ragheads, muzzies, shitstains and other names. They can also be called the enemy.

Pip pip boo WHO for the once 'Great' Britain? The Eurabian Union? Soon their gorgeous Sun Page 3 Gals will be in burkas, eh?

Anyway, this guy is a member of the royal family. He looks down on everybody who isn't an arrogant, inbred leech.

Posted by: Trish at January 13, 2009 06:15 PM

That may be Trish, but Harry is pretty cool for a royal. I may also point out that his behavior is just like any GI who is in a war. You should have heard us but then again, thats another story.

Posted by: cuchieddie at January 13, 2009 06:31 PM

Oh, I don't think he is looking down on anybody, except maybe the ragheads.

Yes, he is a Royal, but he also has to fit in with his squad, Platoon (or whatever they call it in the English Armed Forces)he has to lead them and needs their complete confidence that he can do the job, Without getting somebody killed unnecessarily, through carelessness or arrogance. Thats the quickest way for an Officer to lose his platoon.

James M., thank you, you said it better then I did. The world of the Warrior is exactly what it is.

JohnE PFC U.S. Army, Hahahahahaa Thank you so much.

I think these media people better learn one thing. If they are going to hang out with our troops, or Englands or any country fighting in this war against Islam. The speech of the good guy troops is their own and don't mess with them.

Posted by: Wild Thing at January 13, 2009 07:18 PM

BobF, yes isn't it the silliest thing.

Don't train me, give me a gun, teach me how to fight and then expect me to refer to the enemy with hearts and flowers. I would want to be the meanest mf they had, a total weapon from head to toe. hahahaha

Like a boxer too, they get in a frame of mind before a fight. The last thing their trainer wants is to have him being romantic right before a fight.

Posted by: Wild Thing at January 13, 2009 07:26 PM

Tom, Ditto that, thank you.

Posted by: Wild Thing at January 13, 2009 07:27 PM

Darth, hahha now that would be a shame, there are a lot of guys that love that page.

hahahaa

Posted by: Wild Thing at January 13, 2009 07:29 PM

Trish, I have not heard he looks down on anyone. I have read a lot about him and from what I have read he is loved by his fellow men and his fellow soldiers. He is has been a good soldier and leader and I can't see fellow soldiers cozing up to him if he snubbed them and acted above them in any way. I think that is why he was making a joke about his pretend call home. Showing he is like any other soldier.
Just my take on it from this article and from other things I have read.

Posted by: Wild Thing at January 13, 2009 07:33 PM

I'm not convinced, but I'll take your word for it.

What is amazing is that our newest soon to be installed CIC hung out with hordes of people who had nothing but derogatory things to say about Americans and it was just no big deal. Think rev. Wright for example. [And I refuse to give him the courtesy of capitalizing his title. He is not worthy.] Think of the CIC's own wife - who has never been proud. [Newsflash: You still don't have a reason to be proud - your husband lied and bought his way to where he is.]

Prince Harry playfully calls his mate a "Raghead" and is forced to apologize.

Our PCness is going to get us all killed. That such a vast majority of people are willfully blind to this danger is terrifying. Until people start waking up and smelling the coffee or the roses or whatever we are going to continue down a path that with be almost impossible to correct - change - because it will be too late. Your daughter's and granddaughter's are going to be wearing black abeyas sooner than you think if "we" don't take a stand and make some drastic changes, PDQ!
