Obama Picks Fight With Limbaugh As Bipartisan Spirit Crumbles

.

Rush answered the question: Does he want Obama to succeed?
"“So yes, I would hope he would succeed if he acts like Reagan. But if he’s going to do FDR — if he’s going to do The New New Deal all over, which we will call here The Raw Deal — why would I want him to succeed? Look, he’s my president. The fact that he is historic is irrelevant to me now. It matters not at all. If he is going to implement a far-left agenda... Look, I think it’s already decided: a $2 trillion in stimulus? The growth of government? I think the intent here is to create as many dependant Americans as possible looking to government for their hope and salvation. If he gets nationalized health care, I mean, it’s over, Sean. We’re never going to roll that back. That’s the end of America as we have known it, because that’s then going to set the stage for everything being government owned, operated, or provided. Why would I want that to succeed? I don’t believe in that. I know that’s not how this country is going to be great in the future; it’s not what made this country great. So I shamelessly say, “No! I want him to fail.” If his agenda is a far-left collectivism — some people say socialism — as a conservative heartfelt, deeply, why would I want socialism to succeed? “ - Rush Limbaugh

DEMOCRATIC CONGRESSIONAL CAMPAIGN COMMITTEE Launch petition against Rush
Paid for by Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. 430 South Capitol Street, S.E. Washington, D.C. 20003

Last week, Rush Limbaugh gave us a preview of the outrageous Republican attacks that are on the way against President Obama and every Democrat working for change. Rush actually said that he 'hopes' President Obama fails to meet America's challenges.

Listen to Rush in his own words, saying "I hope he fails."

Limbaugh's cheap shot at President Obama might be the first by the Republican attack machine this year but we know that it won't be the last.

We need every grassroots Democrat to show Rush Limbaugh and all of the Republicans what they're up against if they start attacking President Obama and Democrats who are working to end the failed GOP policies of the last eight years.

Tell Rush what you think of his attacks on President Obama. We'll send him your comments.

Jobs, health care, our place in the world — the stakes for our nation are high and every American needs President Obama to succeed. Creating real change requires every American stand strong against Rush Limbaugh's attacks — and all of the other partisan attacks from desperate Republicans that are on the way.

Let's start right here and now.

Rush Responds to Democrat E-mail Petition Against Him:

"I am greatly puzzled. Why would the Democrats petition against me if I am doing such terrible damage to the GOP? !

And this is ia GREAT article ..........................

Barack Obama picks a fight with Rush Limbaugh as bipartisan spirit crumbles

Telegraph. co.uk

Barack Obama is on a collision course with his critics after picking a fight with Rush Limbaugh, America's most influential conservative commentator.

Mr Obama has told Republicans in Washington to stop listening to the right-wing talk show host Rush Limbaugh, risking a new culture war with conservative voters.

His exhortation came as he enraged other Republicans by reversing George W Bush's ban on funding international aid to charities that perform or provide information about abortions.

After less than a week in office, Mr Obama's presidency is already encountering the very partisan bickering he had pledged to stamp out during his first 100 days.

The president responded with a clear signal that he is prepared to ram the bill through without the bipartisan consensus he promised to construct, telling Republican leaders from the House of Representatives: "I won. I'm the president."

He then told them to break free of the confrontational mindset epitomised by Mr Limbaugh, the highest paid talk show host in America. "You can't just listen to Rush Limbaugh and get things done," Mr Obama said.

His comments followed a blunt attack on him by Mr Limbaugh, who declared on air that he hoped Mr Obama would fail as president because otherwise it will usher in socialism.

With characteristic robustness, he said: "We are being told we have to hope he succeeds, that we have to bend over and grab our ankles... because his father was black, because he's the first black president, we've got to accept this."

Wild Thing's comment........

I am not going to post the petiton on here because I have a lot of dems that read this blog and try to get their comments through. I don't want to show them the link, let those idiots find it themselves.

It is simply a petition that states ...." Rush Limbaugh wants Obama to fail" and then a person is supposed to leave their name etc. and sign the petition how they hate Rush.

Regarding the artilce, it is excellent and it also says.....

"The Republican National Committee did not return calls requesting comment."

That is the most damning and depressing piece of data in the article.

The RNC should have issued a press release supporting Rush and the sentiment he expressed. Vichy cowards.

Bush Derangement Syndrome is quickly becoming Rush Derangement Syndrome. The morons only need to change one letter..."it's all Rush's fault."

....Thank you Mark for sending this to me.

So the DNC doesn't like the 'Attacks' on their President. I never heard the DNC complain about, attacking President Bush, You name it and it was attacked, 24/7.

Evidently, the leaders of the democrats have finished their glass of Kool-ade and have bought all this tripe and hype. And Nobody can utter a word of disaggreement against the Messiah.

I suppose a naysayer may hurt Barrys feelings...then what he'll quit...ha we couldn't be that lucky.

They are afraid of only one thing, the Truth and they have been running from the turth for an awfully long time. Now that they have the power the have always wanted they are not going to be stopped or sidetracked by anything as trivial as the turth.

Then Rush comes along, the 'last man' standing, because the Republicans have lost every leader we ever had, and starts throwing monkey wrenches into their machines and suddenly he is the Anti-obama.

This is great, we are getting to them.

I never heard Bush go after George Sorros or any other private citizen when he was president. I didn't get any mailings from the RNC to petition MoveOn.org, Democratic Underground, or Daily KOS.

Rush is shinning the light on the roaches and they are scurrying for cover. By attacking Rush, Obama and the DNC hope to get the light off them so they can ram their socialist agenda down our throats.

With the mounting job casualties, here's hoping SCOTUS either finds someone, somewhere, has standing to require BHO's birth certificate or fixes attention on a criminal indictment before he wins his War on Prosperity.

If President Obama is upset with what Rush says, let Obama challenge him to a public debate. Heh, heh. That would be a wipe out. Obama's ers and uhs against Rush's quick mind, fantasy vs reality, promises vs reasoning.

Obama is taking us on the road to European socialism. America already has more people employed in government than in manufacturing. There will soon be as any people collecting govt. benefits as people paying for them. That does not make a country strong.

I sent an e-mail to Emperor O'Vomit yesterday stating that I supported free speech and although I am not a Rush listener, I agree with his comments. I also asked him (O'Vomit) if stating my mind would result in his blackshirts breaking into our home and taking us to re-education or concentration camps. If you don't hear from me again, you'll know what happened.

The messiah Al-Obama gave his first television interview as president—on only his sixth full day in office—to an Arab channel, the Saudi-backed, Dubai-based al-Arabiya. Will he put the rest of us on trial for speaking out, holding us guilty like the Netherlands has Geert Wilders who is on trial for making anti-Islamic statements? He'd just love to do that to Limbaugh to squelch free speech in the United States. Remember once the Bolsheviks took over in Russia they silenced all their critics, even murdered the Czar's entire family. We should fear the government, it's out of control and in the hands of despots. I keep thinking back to Camelot and the way Diem was treated on 2 November 1963 by another Democrat president's treachery and reckless abuse of power. This president wages war against his own citizens not their enemies.

Just another round of fake 'outrage' from our enemies. Bin Laden is not public enemy number one any more, just most coherent. Or maybe it's real. Can never tell with these clowns. If it's real, they need to be put back on their meds.

The fact that the thin-skinned and crybaby Barack Obama is more offended and outraged at conservative philosophical criticism of his Socialist agenda than he, as President of the United States, is of Islamofascist terrorists and terror supporting nations killing American citizens and troops marks a sad and very dangerous period in American history. We have a President whose ego is more important than national security and the safety of it's people and that is a very scary thing.

Barack Obama's version of bipartisanship is when Democrats worship him and Republicans worship him.

And THE FAIRNESS DOCTRINE will be on the Obama horizon, eh? The COMMIES and NAZIS took control and arrested all of the educated conservative religious types...then killed them... only 70 years ago?

Mark, exactly, so much for they can do what they want and we are supposed to toe the line.
I wonder if they do get their way if they will go after all the other places, blog, forums, FaceBook, MySpace and then those that write articles like at Townhall etc. It is very scary.

Posted by: Wild Thing at January 28, 2009 06:27 PM

BobF, very true.
This is only one week since Obama was sworn in it is concerning big time as to how much more will happen.

Posted by: Wild Thing at January 28, 2009 06:42 PM

Ted, I am still hoping that's for sure.

Posted by: Wild Thing at January 28, 2009 06:45 PM

Tom, oh wow that would be great. I can see it now, Rush knowing just what to say, and Obama doing his uh, uh, uh and stumbling with his answers.

Posted by: Wild Thing at January 28, 2009 06:49 PM

cuchieddie, yeowie, what a great letter. But scary too, I don't want anything to happen to you. I keep thinking of what Obama's team did last summer with people that spoke up about him. He is not mentally stable that's for sure. Like what they did to Joe the Plumber and some of the reporters etc.

That is a great letter though cuchieddie!!!!!!

Posted by: Wild Thing at January 28, 2009 06:53 PM

Jack, I agree, the fear of our government has been growing in my ever since Obama won. It actually began last summer with this Truth squad he has in MO and a couple of other States to after people that even had just a sicker on their car.

Posted by: Wild Thing at January 28, 2009 06:56 PM

Odin, I wish it was not real. But from what I see it is. They have said horrible things like they wish Rush had cancer and a cartoonist did a cartooon comparing Rush and Tim Russet and it says how it should have been Rush that died.

They truly are very sick people. And your rigiht they need to get back on their meds.

Good to see you Odin, and thanks for stopping by.

Les, well said and that sure is what shows up with this kind of behavior and his allowing it and the things he himself has said.

Darth, lots of prayers this insanity will end from the left. They won, they are in the majority and that is not even enough for them. Very, very scary.
