Gov. Sarah Palin Rally At Carson City, Calif. Tennis Stadium at Home Depot Center

Carson City is in the heart of Los Angeles County oil refining and chemical industry territory. It is the home of Hot Rod Derby, Demolition Derby and dirt track motorcycle and midget car racing.

The Home Depot Center is a 125-acre development in Carson, California, featuring state-of-the-art stadiums and facilities for soccer, tennis, track & field, cycling, lacrosse, rugby, volleyball, baseball, softball, basketball and other sports. Designated as an “Official U.S. Olympic Training Site,” The Home Depot Center is the nation’s most complete training facility for Olympic, amateur and professional athletes.

The crowd cheered when they saw the Israeli/US flag! Awesome moment at the event!

Dana Rohrbacher spoke and was connecting Palin to Reagan and Jimmy Steward from Mr. Smith Goes to Washington.

Jon Voight has really impressed me with his change in his politics. Jon Voight calls the Mark Levin’s show often. I don't get a chance to hear the show as much as I used to but when I do, a lot of the time Jon is calling in to his show.

The warm ups were energetic, former Treasury Sec. Rosario Marin and Actor Jon Voight.

In a surprising move, the California head of NOW introduced Sarah. She announced that she was a life long Dem, which drew boos from the crowd lol. She then gave a gracious and supportive introduction to Gov Palin. Sarah charged the stage with a huge smile and rocked the crowd with plenty of red meat and humor.

Sarah Palin started off with a line I will never forget, she said: I was drinking coffee out of my Starbucks Cup (Crowd Cheering) and on the cup there was a quote it read: “There is a special place reserved in hell for women that dont support other women”! Crowd cheering again, “And you know who the quote is from? She say’s Madeline Albright”! Crowd goes wild. Then she went on the attack and started in on Obama’s connections to Domestic terrorist Bill Ayres and others, Crowd goes wild again.

Sarah Palin told an enthusiastic crowd Saturday afternoon that it was time to “put on the heels and take off the gloves.”

And while she credited the line to a campaign worker, it and the rest of her 24-minute speech at the Home Depot Center rally was delivered like only Sarah can.

“For millions of Californians, this is still Reagan country and we’re here to take it back,” she said.

During her speech there were about five or six Obamabots escorted out by Sheriffs as the crowd chanted USA. Sarah riffed on one, saying something like "we fight for their freedoms as well" Crowd loved it!

Obama cultists protesting the appearance of Sarah yelling " NO USA! No USA! " ..... Palin supporters were chanting USA, USA, to whatever the cultists were saying.

.

Palin praised running mate John McCain and criticized Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama while spelling out the goals of a McCain-Palin administration during her speech before an overflow crowd.

As you saw in my other post, the video, Sarah brought up William Ayers connection to Obama. She said that the Ayers information came from the NY Times .

Home Depot Center officials estimated as many as 20,000 people, jammed into the 8,000-seat capacity facility and an overflow area, attended the rally.

This is when everyone was waiting to get into the arena.

The clouds threatened rain, and a few sprinkles fell while Sarah was talking, but heavier patch of sprinkles waited until after she finished her speech. Overall it was a great environment for the event.

When Sarah was done speaking the crowds rushed the stage, like we have seen before with rock stars. haha They LOVE her!

Saturday's event was Palin's first visit to Southern California since McCain named her as his running mate Aug. 29. The Alaska governor said her father was born in Los Angeles and her paternal grandfather was a photographer who lived in North Hollywood.

From Carson, Sarah went on to a fundraising dinner in the Costa Mesa area.

.

Wild Thing's comment.........

Home Depot?( giggle) Was Biden there? He claimed to hang out there in the debate. ( I know it is a different State but I could not resist heh heh)

Sarah was introduced by the President of the LA chapter of N.O.W.. Incredible. hahahahahaha

I lived in LA most all my life.. this kind of turn out there for Sarah will be makiing the liberals do a freaked out double take, 5000 would be big.. .....but 20,000???? HUGE, beyond HUGE!!

I got this from a friend that lives there and went to the rally:

"The ADT Center seats 27,000 for soccer. Even more for Tennis. They rolled out extra stands and made it a very tight fit. If there were less than 30,000 there, I will eat my lap top. LOL, OH and Sarah made it clear in today’s rally that the MSM is not to be trusted!!!! Punctuated by the same sentiments by Jon Voight. THEN, I go looking for my car which if you have ever been to Cal State Dominguez Hills you know there are a million parking lots and ya better write down where you parked if you expect to find it!
Well like an ass I didnt, I was walking and walking and walking again and then I ran into one of the employees for the event and I asked him approximately where I was. He say's Ma'am you are going to have to step off the road, I said why? What's going on? He said "Sarah Palin's motorcade is coming"! I said NO WAY! So I just stood there next to this guy waiting and sure enough here comes her motorcade, I start waving like a lunatic lol and then all the sudden there she was! Not 2 feet from me! She looked at me, smiled and waved at me! AT ME! I was like I dont believe this! She made eye contact with me! And was just as natural as could be!
I was so excited, then I really forgot where my car was and was walking and walking blisters on my feet and all, and then one of those golf cart driving people came up to me and told me to get in and they helped me find my car.
Needless to say every blister on my feet was worth it. What an awesome day! "

.

These added photos came from RAC's son Brain. Thank you Brain for taking these photos. Brain was able to go to the rally and he is a Reagan Conservative like Nicholas and I are. yipeeee Brian!

Deranged person who has no idea where he's at

Sarah signing her autograph

Liberal moron be escorted out

Palin looking back at someone in the audience yelling some anti Palin something or other

You wouldn't have heard about Sister Sarah's successes in this scrapple state of socialism, nor on CNN, eh? HILLARY'S base will vote for MCCAIN*PALIN in four more weeks!

Is there any way we can dump McCain and just keep Sarah? Maybe get Fred Thompson for her running mate? The way McCain himself is going, he's going to had the election to Obama.

I think there will be a lot of votes against obama. For a couple of reasons, He's black, and what he represents. He doesn't represent main stream American values. When he loses the media will tout that he lost because he is black. All the skewed very skewed polls will prove to be just that. The press has been nothing but dishonest in this race. As I said I don't believe these polls. I don't believe so many Americans are ready and can't wait to vote of a known Socialist/Communist and are as fickle as the press paints them.

First they got rid of Hillary now they are trying to get rid of McCain-Palin. Where-ever she goes, she draws huge crowds, not because she's a babe, which she is, but because of her message. She relates to the guy on the street. She is one of us for the first time in maybe 150 years there is a candidate who actually knows what it is like to work for a living.

They call obama charismatic, nope. He is a mere novelty. Sarah Palin is charismatic and actually has a personality and is very likable. Obama can't speak without it being written down for him. Palin can wing it becasue of her passion and she believes what she is saying. The people she speaks to believe what she is saying because she believes it this is the difference.

This is why we will win.

I thought that if McCain wins the election it would only be because enough Americans feared Obama's radicalism. Since Sarah Palin became his running mate, I think a McCain victory will be mainly because of her. Even yet, I think at times that McCain is trying to not win.

Sarah is the bright light for Middle America. She is articulate, charming, tough, resliant, knowlegable, intelligent and honest. Yes, she is a lot of Reagan and Jimmy Stewart's "Mr Smith Goes to Washington". We need her so badly right now.

But McCain thinks of the Democrats as "My Friends".

Like the drunken bums around the guy with the money they're all your friends as long as you enable them. Just don't stop the enabling or they'll stomp your head into the ground.
The Annointed One has the same problem for opposite reasons, he has a following of those who have high entitlement expectations that both candidates have enabled by sucking up to them. Sarah has broken from that tradition. John needs to level with her about his motives, it's obvious that he's holding back, like the decision of not running in Michigan, it hurts his cause and her's too. Like Bob, I too wonder if the race is nothing more than a charade up to the finish line then a quick step aside to hand it over to the Marxist. John !!! 'My Friends' that term offends me, it's like some Fag telling us to bend over. My vote will be to halt a sworn Communist and elect a Conservative to the VP position, not to elect McCain because he's collateral damage. Go Sarah Go!!!

Excellent pictures and commentary! WOW!

Sarah is one classy lady.
She's living proof that a woman can have it all.
I want my daughters to have that right--to get married or not, have a great career, have kids if they so choose to, do what they want.
Is that what scares people so? That women can and will do whatever a man can and perhaps better?
Love the Joe working at Home Depot pic. Cute.

Crybaby Barack Obama who can't take criticism well and his supporters are yelling "smear", "racism", and any other victimization words that they can come up with when exposed by others. It is Obama and his supporters as well as most Democrats who are the party of hate directing personal and vile attacks at George Bush, Dick Cheney, John McCain, Sarah Palin, and any other Republican and conservative that they regard as a threat (that means all of us). Democrats sure know how to dish it out but cry like babies when anyone says anything about them.

Sarah Palin needs to keep up the attacks with as many facts and examples that she can with references to Starbucks cups and New York Times articles as sources of information. That will drive Obama and his supporters nuts. Of course, the majority of her speech content should be laying out McCain's plans for the various issues and problems that face the country and the contrast to Obama's socialist plans which will wreck the country.

I've used these before, but they are worth looking at again and sharing with friends and Obama supporters.

I like Biden in the Home Depot apron, looks like he finally found a job he can handle. They'd prolly put him in the hardware department where he could look for all the lose screws.

Posted by: Mark at October 5, 2008 06:40 PM

That was great! I have read several first hand accounts on various blogs today, and they've all had the same theme--they loved her and thought her live appearance was much more electric than anything on television she's done, and that's saying something!

Is that P. Diddy with the OJ sign? He's pretty special, don't you think?

Joe at Home Depot...lol. You know, I can't hate the guy, he doesn't make me cringe like Obama and his spokesholes like Bill Burton. He's a big goof. A totally uneffective career politician who seems to have trouble grasping the reality of where he's at and who he's talking to or about at times, but doggone it...he's a riot. He'd probably get a kick out of that picture.

Finally, isn't "liberal moron" reduntant? lol
Okay, just kidding, I do have liberal friends that aren't morons.

Thanks, the pictures are awesome!

Darth, we didn't hear about it on our local news and FOX is the only one that mentioned it.

The media really only want to tell us about Obama.

Posted by: Wild Thing at October 6, 2008 12:05 AM

BobF, Sarah is doing great especially now that she is back to being Sarah and not some campaign advisor's production.

Posted by: Wild Thing at October 6, 2008 12:08 AM

Mark how funny, LMAO thanks, Obama is about as charismatic as a door knob and that is insulting door knobs. LOL

I agree Mark, the one that has all the charismatic genes is Sarah Palin.

Posted by: Wild Thing at October 6, 2008 12:10 AM

Tom, I agree she will lead the way with other conservatives following her lead.

Posted by: Wild Thing at October 6, 2008 12:14 AM

Jack, yes he needs to show her respect and keep her informed of all the plans. That really surprised me when she said she didn't know about Mich. till he got an email the day after we all knew about it.

Posted by: Wild Thing at October 6, 2008 12:18 AM

ozaoB, thank you so much. It is fun to post about the Rallies Sarah does.

Posted by: Wild Thing at October 6, 2008 12:20 AM

Lynn, your daughters are so blessed to have you for a mom. That does make a difference and they will never forget the special way you take the time like you share about to tell them things. I love hearing about it.
I agree Lynn, Sarah is setting a great example of so many positive things.

Posted by: Wild Thing at October 6, 2008 12:24 AM

Les, hahahahahaa yes, I bet the left hated Sarah quoting off the coffee cup. heh heh

That cry baby graphic is a good one of Obama.

Posted by: Wild Thing at October 6, 2008 12:27 AM

Mark, hahahahahaa yessss

"They'd prolly put him in the hardware department where he could look for all the lose screws."

Eden, LOL hahahaaha it might be. hahahaha

"Is that P. Diddy with the OJ sign? He's pretty special, don't you think? "

Eden I have too. hahaa Some are morons and some are not.

I agree too about Biden, I would miss his gaffes. I just don't want him to win, but I don't mind his being around he is semi harmless.
hahahahahahaha
