McCain / Palin Rally in Missouri Gets Enthusiastic Reception

KMOV reported on the Missouri rally: McCain spotlighted Palin at the suburban St. Louis rally -- giving her the clean-up speaking spot on a stage erected over the ballfield's home plate.

She got an enthusiastic reception from the crowd that filled the infield bleachers and spread from the dirt base paths into the outfield grass. At various times, they chanted, "Sarah, Sarah."

The ball team's president said the stadium holds about 15,000 for such concert-style events. Republican consultant John Hancock, who served as master of ceremonies for the event, estimated there were about 20,000 people

Wild Thing's comment............

They didn’t even have to throw a free concert to get people there like they do at a lot of Obama's speech's. The size of McCain's crowds have increased now since Palin is on board.

I believe that now the McCain rallies will draw tremendous crowds. Like you say WT, they won't need a popular opening act.

Americans will flock to hear America First speehes like we haven't heard since Ronald reagan. We will hear plain talk from Gov Palin instead of the socialist hype from Obama. We wll hear "typical White people" beliefs like guns and bibles. Even McCain might be listened to, heh!

We don't need any opening acts. We ARE the opening and closing acts. And we don't put on fancy, schmancy airs to "prove" how good we are. We know we're good. I think the Obama bin Biden ticket is going down in flames. We will win because Americans realize that we mean what we say and we do what we say when we say we'll do it.

This great. I am right now trying to find out when they are coming to Pa. I have never been so excited about a campaign that I can remember.

Our family got our first TV in 1952 and I remember Ike accepting his nomination. Of course I think Ike would have won either way. He ran against an elitetist Adlai Stevenson, and the dems ran him again in 56 and he lost again.

But the energy pumped into this campaign is amazing and it keeps building. It is simply incredible.

Mark, oh wow if you find out and go to it wow that would be sooooo fantastic.

I was a little girl but I remember my Dad having an "I like Ike" button that he let me have after the election. I put it on a teddy bear and named it Ike. haha

I feel the same way Mark, this is like some super duper vitamin pill. hhaha
