Bill Clinton Says Barack Obama Must 'kiss my ass' For His Support

Bill Clinton says Barack Obama must 'kiss my ass' for his support

Telegraph co.uk

Bill Clinton is so bitter about Barack Obama's victory over his wife Hillary that he has told friends the Democratic nominee will have to beg for his wholehearted support.

Mr Obama is expected to speak to Mr Clinton for the first time since he won the nomination in the next few days, but campaign insiders say that the former president's future campaign role is a "sticking point" in peace talks with Mrs Clinton's aides.

The Telegraph has learned that the former president's rage is still so great that even loyal allies are shocked by his patronising attitude to Mr Obama, and believe that he risks damaging his own reputation by his intransigence.

A senior Democrat who worked for Mr Clinton has revealed that he recently told friends Mr Obama could "kiss my ass" in return for his support.

A second source said that the former president has kept his distance because he still does not believe Mr Obama can win the election.

Mr Clinton last week issued a tepid statement, through a spokesman, in which he said he "is obviously committed to doing whatever he can and is asked to do to ensure Senator Obama is the next president of the United States ".

Mr Obama was more effusive at his unity event with Mrs Clinton on Friday, speaking fondly of the absent former president, who attended Nelson Mandela's birthday celebrations in London instead.

The candidate told the crowd: "I know how much we need both Bill and Hillary Clinton as a party. They have done so much great work. We need them badly."

But his aides said he has so far concentrated on cementing relations with Mrs Clinton first. They say they are content to let relations with Mr Clinton thaw gradually.

It has long been known that Mr Clinton is angry at the way his own reputation was tarnished during the primary battle when several of his comments were interpreted as racist.

But his lingering fury has shocked his friends. The Democrat told the Telegraph: "He's been angry for a while. But everyone thought he would get over it. He hasn't. I've spoken to a couple of people who he's been in contact with and he is mad as hell.

"He's saying he's not going to reach out, that Obama has to come to him. One person told me that Bill said Obama would have to quote kiss my ass close quote, if he wants his support.

"You can't talk like that about Obama - he's the nominee of your party, not some house boy you can order around.
"Hillary's just getting on with it and so should Bill."

Another Democrat said that despite polls showing Mr Obama with a healthy lead over Republican John McCain, Mr Clinton doesn't think he can win.

The party strategist, who was allied to one of the early rivals to Mr Obama and the former First Lady, said Mr Clinton was "very unhopeful" about the nominee's prospects in November.

"Bill Clinton knows the party will unite behind Obama, but he is telling people he doesn't believe Obama can win round voting groups, especially working-class whites, in the swing states," the strategist said.
"He just doesn't think Obama will be able to connect with the voters he needs."

Joe Klein, the author of Primary Colours, a fictionalised account of Mr Clinton's 1992 election, who has known the former president for 20 years, said he also heard that he was "very, very bitter", from people who have spoken with him.

"It's time for him to get over it or go off and do his charitable work. He knows the rules of the road. What's going on now is kind of strange. I think his behaviour is really, really shocking."

Wild Thing's comment........

This is most excellent!....KEEP flaming the fire bubba! THE CHAOS CONTINUES!!!

At least it keeps the election fun when it is so horrible otherwise. hahahaha

Obama is just as bad when he said this......LOL

Senator Barack Obama has angered senior allies of his vanquished Democratic rival Senator Hillary Clinton by telling them to "get over it".

IF Obamessiah wins in four months, Hillary is done because Obama may be in for eight years. The Hillary voters will vote for MCCAIN so she can run again in 2012!

Bubba is an idiot, but a funny idiot.
So Obamanation won't get Bubba's support--big whoopie doo. It also probably means Hitlery won't be the running mate. Oh well.
It's kind of fun to watch the fur fly with these dummycraps. They have no clue what is really going on in the world, do they? Why oh why would anyone in their right mind want to vote for any of them?

The man who was dubbed the "First Black President" was made out to be a racist by the Obama campaign. Blacks who supported Clinton turned against him because of Obama. Don't you love it!

In spite of my complete disgust for all things Clinton, I never doubted that Bill is politically savvy.
His belief that Obama can't win carries more weight with me than my brother-in-law who insists that America doesn't like to elect men with long faces, but rather chubby, cute-child faces and thus McCain is a shoo-in.
If Bill can swing Hillary away from her foolish hope that Obama will call her as VP or put her on the Big Court, maybe she will throw knives discreetly at Obama. I'm beginning to get some hope. Or is that too audacious of me?

This is a war I could enjoy as much as the Iran-Iraq War of the 80's. Bill vs Barack. Let them go at it.

I wonder what Hillary's reaction is. It must be a mixed and confused reaction. I think it is also funny that Bill was at a party for Nelson Mandela instead of an Obama event. Our "first Black" president was with a 100% Black person instead of with a half Black half White one. These liberals are so confused and confusing.

Bill Clinton was, is, and always will be a rapist, narcissist, and national pain in the ass. Barack Obama would be wise to kick Bill Clinton in the ass and tell him to F__k Off! He would get more votes that way.

Speaking of Bill Clinton and ass, this says it all.

Also, we all know that Bill Clinton is a dog.

Yes, the Democrat's antics are the only fun so far this election year. Let's hope that they keep going at it right up to election day with Bubba leading the way.

Be afraid. Be VERY afraid... - SSgt Steve

Political Diary, Wall Street Journal
June 27, 2008

Hillary Clinton hasn't forgotten that her defeat came not at the hands of voters but because of her opponent's ability to out-organize her in caucus states. By some measures, she equaled or surpassed Barack Obama in the popular vote. Nonetheless, Mrs. Clinton has officially rallied behind Mr. Obama in hopes of giving Democrats their best shot to win a presidential election since 1996.
But she has a price. Mrs. Clinton showed up in Unity, N.H. for a symbolic event with Mr. Obama and the down payment seems to begin with $10 million in cash – the amount her campaign still owes outside vendors. She has told Mr. Obama that unless he helps her pay off that debt, she just won't have the time to campaign for him this summer. She also told him she needs a jet to ferry her about the country. Supporters even prevailed upon Mr. Obama to write a personal $2,300 check – the maximum legal limit – to Mrs. Clinton's campaign. Most of all, Mrs. Clinton wants him to open his innovative and powerful fundraising network to her by sending out an email blast to his million-strong donor list seeking contributions to retire her campaign debt.

Mr. Obama is resisting, of course. His fundraising list – made up of small donors who don't expect to be treated to a dinner and a photo with the candidate and instead simply send in $10 or $100 over the Internet – is one of the most powerful political assets ever built. It allowed him to raise record amounts of money without spending time running from one small gathering of big donors to another. Once Team Hillary is inside the walls of his fundraising network, her staff would be able to record the name and details of everyone who responds to the appeal – creating her own list for 2012.

Posted by: Wild Thing at June 29, 2008 05:43 PM

Lynn that amazes me, I have zero respect for anyone that is voting for Obama no matter what their reasons are. There is no way they love America. No way.

Posted by: Wild Thing at June 29, 2008 05:45 PM

Cheryl, hahahaaa I love it too. I am so glad he said what he did. LOL
Things like this make the awful part less awful when they have this stuff happening.

Hahahahaha

BobF, so much for loyalty. hahaaha And if Obama was running as a Republican the blacks most of them would be calling him an Uncle Tom. What a bunch of liars and phonies.

Posted by: Wild Thing at June 29, 2008 05:54 PM

Horace, giggle, good to see you.

There is always hope and there is still time enough left for Obama to mess up some more too. Or even like you said, for Hillary to throw some knives in the direction of Obama.

Posted by: Wild Thing at June 29, 2008 05:59 PM

Tom, I am wondering if Hillary is doing that keep your friends close and your enemies closer thing in regards to Obama. I could be wrong though. But if that is what she is doing, then she is OK with what Bill said and she will play the good cop for awhile to see what will happen, or to get debts paid off or something.

Posted by: Wild Thing at June 29, 2008 06:04 PM

Jack, LMAO yesss we do. heh heh

Posted by: TexasFred at June 29, 2008 06:09 PM

SSgt. Steve, Vietnam '66-'67 H 2/5 , that is great information. Thank you so much.

I can see that happening for sure. Memories of the FBI files the Clinton's had on their enemies or might be enemies come to mind too. They don't do anything without a plan.

Posted by: Wild Thing at June 29, 2008 06:11 PM

Texas Fred, hahahaha he sure does.

Posted by: Wild Thing at June 29, 2008 06:13 PM

Bill Clinton is not the guy you want mad at you. Someone charted a list of past enemies of Clinton and most are dead, and all died of unknown or mysterious causes. Airplane crashes, Fort Marcy park. Vince Foster is still a mystery and it goes on and on.

Posted by: Mark at June 29, 2008 08:10 PM

Obama is scary. The Democratic party is hell bent on destroying th USA. Let us only hope they destroy themselves first.

Posted by: Bob at June 29, 2008 09:13 PM

Mark, I agree the numbers are something between 70 and 80 deaths surrounding the Clinton's. Few people even have one death of a person they know that is a mysterious death and the Clinton's have an abundance of them.

Posted by: Wild Thing at June 30, 2008 12:07 AM

Bob yes they want to make changes that will be more like socialism/communism. We can't let that happen and one way is doing like we do with blogs. Speak the truth about what is happening since the news will not. I am glad yo uhave a blog that does this too, it is so important.
