Bitter Obama "Fed Up" With Questions About His Patriotism

Obama "Fed Up" With Questions About His Patriotism

CBS News

KOKOMO, IND.

Questions surrounding Barack Obama’s patriotism resurfaced today at a town hall meeting, when a voter asked him to address rumors that he does not salute the flag. Obama strongly denied the allegation, calling it a “phony issue” and a lie.

“It’s a lie. So anybody who tells you out there that I disrespect the flag, that I don’t salute the flag, that I don’t say the pledge of allegiance, that you know don’t wear flag pins, don’t listen to them,” Obama said. “Look at what I do and look at what I say and my commitment to making this a stronger country and I get pretty fed up with people questioning my patriotism.”

Obama blamed the rumors on an incident at the Harkin Steak Fry in Iowa last summer, where he said he listened and sang along to ‘Star Spangled Banner’ but didn’t put his hand over his heart.

“I acknowledged the mistake of not having put my hand over my heart during the singing of the Star Spangled Banner,” Obama said.
“I’m gonna look at all of you at a ballgame one time to see if you always get it right.”

Obama also tried to turn the table around on Hillary Clinton’s argument that he does not have adequate experience to be president by questioning what she has done with hers. He used health care policy as an example of what he says is Clinton’s inability to reform Washington.

“Now here’s where the difference between Senator Clinton and myself come in, because you know she’s making a similar claim, you’ve got to ask yourself why is it we haven’t gotten health care reform?,” Obama said. “I mean, all these folks who talk about how much experience they’ve got, why is it that we haven’t been able to get it done?”

He also told the crowd that a vote for his opponents would be a vote for the “same old thing.”

“So, Indiana you’ve got a decision to make, we can keep on doing the same old thing with the same old folks the same old ways and hope somehow that we’re gonna get a real change, or we can make a decision that we are gonna to bring about a new America, with a new politics and new leadership.”

Wild Thing's comment........

So the widdle boy is getting upset! Someone call the waaahmbulance. haha

But wait I think I hear a voice calling from the back of the room, it is, oh yes, why it's John McCain on the way to apologize for the question.

" a new America, with a new politics and new leadership"

These words are truly frightening coming from Obama.

“I’m gonna look at all of you at a ballgame one time to see if you always get it right.”

Uh, hello... you're running for POTUS, you arrogant donkey.

Sheesh, ya pipsqueak, a president faces more challenges than a few uncomfortable questions. If you can’t handle a wee measure of “heat”, then you don’t belong anywhere near the kitchen.

Too bad if you're fed up with it. You want to sit in the BIG chair in the oval office? Get used to answering questions you might not like.
You want to be Commander in Chief? Wear the flag pin, cover your heart and treat our military with respect.

There is a big difference between heartfelt patriotism and patriotism for show. Our military in Iraq, Afghanistan, and other parts of the world as well as their families demonstrate patriotism every minute of every day.

It is obvious when you see people wear, wave, or salute the flag and sing the Star Spangled Banner as demonstrations of how proud they are of their country and what it stands for. It is also obvious when you see people mechanically do these same things for show, or not, because they see them as empty symbols and are not proud of the country and see only it's flaws and regard the United States as the root of all evil in the world.

I am "fed up" with Barack Hussein Obama and his constant harping on what is wrong with this country to the exclusion of what is right and the much greater good that it does. I am "fed up" with Barack Hussein Obama and his wife for being so ungrateful for all the opportunities that the country provided to them and that they took to make them as successful as they are. I am "fed up" with Barack Hussein Obama and his wife who find it so difficult to say how proud that they are to be Americans and grateful for all that the country has done for them.

Barack Hussein Obama talks about "real change" if he is elected President. I find that interesting as he never provides any detailed specifics on what those changes will be and how he will make them happen as he has no record of personal leadership in actually accomplishing any meaningful changes in his legislative career.

President Barack Hussein Obama??? Not if I can help it.

Obama dislikes America and it's traditional values. He dislikes Heartland Americans. He is a racist socialist whose heart is with the dysfunctional Africa. He caters to the misfits and alienated who have no agenda other than disruption. Obama is a protege of Jerimiah Wright. Both of these men claim to be patriotic, but that is a front.

I worry as much about the vast numbers of blind, cultish supporters of Obama as I worry about Obama and his elitist backers and pushers.

Just what we need... a whiner for President!

He promises to be a new type of politician, but it sounds like the same old schtick to me!

I believe you all have covered the bases, I see our black muslim senator B. Hussein as the american version of Robert Mugabe.

Lynn, yes and he wants to be President? hahaha For many reasons...no way. He sure is a whinner.

Les I agree so much.

For Obama and others like him they know darn well what it means not to and they do it to make a statement. He can't lie his way out of this no matter what.

Tom I worry about those things too.

I would hate to feel like Obama and people like him feel and believe. It would be hell on earth to have that kind of hate for ones country and what he has stood for. I wish these people would just leave and go to a country that wants their socialism and sharia laws and all their agenda is about. But noooo they want to destroy America the best country in the world.

Jack yes and what a horrible man!

He's tired of his patriotism being questioned ? Why is that. Could it be we have a good reason for asking.

Could it be he looks like he could care less about the National Anthem. His refusal to wear a lapel flag.

In all his speeches he has never found anything he likes about this country, at least he has never admitted to it or even said it.

He praises his crazy pastor while admonishes Don Imus for words with much less impact than that of Wright.

He virtually called everyone who lives in a small town a red-neck, a racist and clinging to bits of the Constitution, i.e. the 2nd Amendment, ... but he is tired of being questioned about his patriotism. Is this moron running for 'Dog Catcher' no the Job is the Leader of the free world I think we are owed that much.

Personally I don't think he could handle the Job of dog-catcher not to mention President of the United States.

Who is he trying to B/S? Every time he gets
called on some stupid remark he calls it a
mistake...Well I've heard Ducks fart under
water before,Quack,Quack,Quack!!!

Obama is no different than these three blasphemous 'Cafeteria Catholics' - Biden, Pelosi and Ted Kennedy. These 3 Stooges are pro-50 million abortions and pro-same sex marriage, then receive the Eucharist at Holy Communion! And there's priests that should deny them the Eucharist and don't!

Mark,you are so right!!!

I don't think he could handle the job of President either. Besides everything else about him, personality wise he gets thrown too easily. He can't even make a speech without notes,if he does he stammers with tons of um's and ah's. Very annoying and shows lack of thought process too.
He gets angry at being questioned and that is very bad, especially when he will be bombarded with questions from the press later and foreign leaders as well.
