Support The Troops Report At Bombed Recruiting Station at Times Square NY

It poured rain, there were 100 Patriotic Americans that showed up to support our military. These are just a few of the photos from yesterday at the bombed recruiting Station at Times Square in New York.

Urban Infidel has a wonderful slide show of the support the troops rally.

Wild Thing's comment.......

America will answer back when things like this happen and that is something that makes me so proud to be an American, one of the many reasons we live in an awesome country. When it comes to our military and supporting our troops we totally out number the anti-American military loathing jerks.

It was a wonderful turn out and I am very proud of those that lived close enough to attend. I didn't see any coverage on TV at all. Which is typical of the media, it is more important to them to show the left filled with hate then to show true Americans, Veterans and civilians that appreciate our troops and Vets.

I'm glad it didn't turn into a free for all, but only about 100 showed up?
I guess it was too rainy for most, but still...
Shows you the damage that the lefty liberal media has done to the military.

The Left has professional demonstrators. We don't. I think it is pretty good that 100 people were able to show up considering the short notice and bad weather. When there is more time and the blogging world can get the word out, the Right can get a nice turnout like last year's Gathering of Eagles or the Rolling Thunder rallies on Memorial Day.

There is going to be a huge rally in DC on March 15th put on by Eagles Up! There will be a march down Pennsyvani Ave starting at Constitution. People are coming from all over the country to show Support for the Troops. We will be at Walter Reed on Friday night and a bunch are going to the school in MD where Winter Soldier II is being held. And we'll be going back in April when Gen. Petraeus gives his report in DC.
Eagles Up, Gathering of Eagles, Move America Forward, Vets for Freedom, Blue Star Moms, Patriot guard Riders, Rolling Thunder and all sorts of Nam Vet groups and patriotic folks are going to give all those who hate our military a run for their money.
Of course, I'm sure the media will do it's usual focus on the anti-war side. We're working on that too.

The explosion at the training center was part of the class war that began in the 1960's; the one that has political battlefields like the Clinton -Obama thing, but it's really a campaign by the self-recogized elites for complete jurisdiction over human and non-human affairs. Their motive for battle is nothing other than intellectual and moral snobbery, and the compulsion to control everything, everywhere, all the time. Progressivism is authoritarianism.

Social Diseases like Code Pink, psycho bomb-throwing bike riders, or campus cranks, are just pus-pockets spreading the infection of leftism without providing a trail back to the source of the illness. The source today, and since the 1960's, is the Democratic Party, which harbors and excuses by silence, the malignant upper middle-class nihilists who support and fund it, and which has given life to a legion of external leftist organizations burrowing into our lives.

We have no way of knowing, yet, how serious the damage is after forty years of corrosion. But we see some of the damage now in the bizarre race and sexual politics of Obama, his insufferable wife, and the slime duo Clintons, where the ideological matters are not in dispute, just the personality who can more easily subdue the rubes while flattering the obedient sheep.

Until, and unless, Americans can be made to understand the stakes in this war on us by leftist elites - and many millions of them are already sympathetic to it because of manufactured resentments and hatreds - we will continue this slide towards chaos.

I don't think these deep divisions can be resolved at the polls any longer. The left has poisoned too much of American life and dialogue, and some other means of "settling" our differences will have to be found. Democracies survive through compromise and tolerance and good will, all necessary properties which have been destroyed by leftism. This was not our doing, but theirs. They will someday face the consequences.

No matter how hard the anti-war, radical left, and MSM tries they can't stop the patriotism in a large core, particularly the young, population of this country. The vast majority of those serving, and those who have served, in Iraq and Afghanistan are sharing stories of the need to fight terrorism and the good that we are doing.

The Code Pink, MoveOn.org, and Berkeley crowd as well as left wing politicians may be getting the publicity but they are losing the war for the hearts and minds of a citizenry that still believes in the Constitution and personal responsibility to protect and preserve it.

Lynn yes, they actually did great considering they had to do it fast since the attack just happened this last week and they wanted to show support for the troops right away.

Tom I agree it was a good turn out especially for it being the last minute thing too.

Yankeemom, that is great, I can hardly wait. Your right about the media too.

Posted by: Wild Thing at March 9, 2008 04:43 PM

Rhod, very true, it sure goes deep into the past like you said back to the 60's.

I wonder if it will ever stop this avalanche into a totally left kind of world, a DNC left and rino controlled kind of America. Meanwhile I will never ever give up, I am way to onery hahaha and love America way too much to just hand it to the lefties.

Les I agree and we can never give up. But I sure am sick of these socialists, communists, you name it. I have really had it with all of them.
