Obama Camp Wants McCain to Denounce Rep.Steve King

Iowa, Rep. Steve King

Obama Camp Wants McCain to Denounce Rep. for Saying Terrorists Will Rejoice for Him

Fox News election news

John McCain’s campaign distanced itself Saturday from a supporter who told an Iowa newspaper that terrorists would be “dancing in the streets” if Barack Obama is elected president.

Iowa Rep. Steve King made the remarks to the Daily Reporter in Spencer, Iowa, basing his prediction on Obama’s pledge to pull troops out of Iraq, his Kenyan heritage and his middle name, Hussein. Obama’s campaign immediately called on McCain to denounce the remarks.

McCain traveling press secretary Brooke Buchanan told FOX News that King has no affiliation with the campaign.

“The Senator has been clear that he intends to keep this campaign about the issues. He has condemned similar comments by (radio talk show host) Bill Cunningham. He doesn’t agree with King’s comments,” Buchanan said. “He intends to run a respectful race and keep it about the issues.”

The Arizona senator recently chided Cunningham after the Cincinnati talk show host referred to Obama three times as “Barack Hussein Obama” while introducing McCain.

“These comments have no place in our politics,” Obama spokesman Tommy Vietor said earlier, before McCain’s campaign responded to King.

King told the Daily Reporter that his comments were not meant to demean Obama but to warn how an Obama presidency would look to the world.

“The radical Islamists, the Al Qaeda … would be dancing in the streets in greater numbers than they did on Sept. 11 because they would declare victory in this war on terror,” King said.

“His middle name does matter,” King said. “It matters because they read a meaning into that.”

Wild Thing's comment........

Obama is out of touch with reality if he doesn’t know that King is right. King is on target. McCain would do well to remember who his friends are.

Comments

this made me remember a line from Robin Hood:Prince of Thieves--"you whine like a mule, you are still alive." (Azeem, Morgan Freeman.)
You can't go off the deep end when someone smarts off to you. Ignore it is the best policy.
But this is true--Muslims will be dancing in the streets if a Muslim is elected to office and they'd be even more excited if he took Ellison as his running mate.

What is the problem here. Rep. Steve King is just telling it like it is. Is Obama so deluded that he actually thinks that him becoming POTUS will inflict terror into the hearts of the bad guys? Quite the opposite, the terrorists will definetly rejoice knowing that they can basicaly walk right in to this country and do whatever they want, because if they get caught they know that their punishment will be to sit down and talk about what the Americans did to make them not like us. Then everyone will be happy and we can change our evil ways so not to offend these "freedom fighters" in the future, and they will leave us alone.
I don't know if Obama is that stupid or just plain retarded!
Talk is cheap....but so is a 7.62mm

The truth hurts, obama already said he would make nice with our enemies so we won't piss them off more than they already are.

afterall Hussein Obama has a connection with the moslems, so that must be offensive to him...Well that is just too Freakin' bad.

Welcome to the real world 'bama'

Yea Rep King! A few people speak reality and others run around in a fit like headless chickens.

Obama's two daddies were both muzzies. Obama's middle name is a muzzie name. He was instructed in a muzzie school in Indonesia. Obama wants a summit with muzzies if he reaches the White House, not so they can understand us, but so we can accomodate them. Barak HUSSEIN Obama cares more about that accomodation of muzzies than he cares about showing patriotism for America.

BTW. None of his official web sites that I looked at show his muzzie middle name. He is trying to downplay/hide his muzzie background.

Most politicians are such weenies! Rep King is spot on and it was so great to hear one of the pols speak the truth. Obama is a kindergartner when it comes to the world. Plus, he's leftie delusional if he thinks more talking (and a group hug?) is going to change the ways of our enemies. Look how well Clinton et al did in the nineties. Woo hoo! Sure got them on the run, didn't they!

Barack Obama and his camp are pathetic. The last thing that the United States needs is a President who is a cry baby, whiner, and so thin skinned that he can't take criticism. Harry Truman, a real Democratic President, put it best when he said, "If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen."

A picture is worth a thousand words. Go to the following link for The Official Seal of the United States Democratic Party.

Lynn yes hahaha good quote.

Like it is said, the truth hurts and Obama better get used to it.

RAC, good one, exactly.

What does Obama expect, he already has stated he wants a sit down with these people, pull the troops out and voted against the war. He thinks that kind of talk will scare a terrorist?? haha

Posted by: Wild Thing at March 9, 2008 05:22 PM

Mark, LOL love it yes too freakin' bad.

He must think people will forget what he has said in the past or does not care.
He can't have it both ways.

Posted by: Wild Thing at March 9, 2008 05:29 PM

Tom oh wow I didn't know that. I looked at other things at his sites but never did check that out, thank you. He is actually insulting his family too in how he is treating his middle name. hahahhahahaa I mean they named him that for a middle name. haha

Posted by: Wild Thing at March 9, 2008 05:31 PM

Yankeemom, yes it is so wonderful to hear a politician when they actually tell the truth for a change.

Obama is full of it and a dangerous man.

The Republicans are saying McCain would be best in the fight against terrorism. I'm wondering just exactly what would he do in fighting terrorism? Maybe, leave the borders open?

Posted by: BobF at March 9, 2008 09:31 PM

Bob,yes, McCain won't do anything about our borders, at least we have no evidence of it at all that's for sure. And that is half of fighting back, securing our borders, it sure is hard to understand how this kind of thinking makes things better.

Al-QAEDA FOR Q-TIPS 'N HIPS IN 2008!
"One nation - under ALLAH - divided, without liberty and justice by the sword for all!"
The truth does hurt and God bless Steve King in our time of war against liberals, pacifists and islamofascists!

Darth, yes, I read up on King a little more and he is really a strong conservative. Thank God we have a few around since there are less and less of them all the time.
