That shot photo looks familiar. Do they still use the Air Guns for shots ?

Ring around the rosy,
A pocket full of posy,
Ashes, ashes, all fall down.

I got my initial shots by the gun in boot then 3 years later got all my OS shots by hand at a garrison fort away from Ft. Lewis and their guns where they could slice you if either the patient or the medic flinched. A few here may remember them vividly like I do.

Cholera (whole cell), influenza (whole virus inactivated), measles (live), meningococcal A/C (polysaccharide), plague (whole cell), poliovirus (live), smallpox (live), tetanus-diphtheria (toxoid), typhoid (whole cell; acetone killed, dried; or heat and phenol inactivated), typhus (whole cell), yellow fever (live) plus those pleasant Immune globulin (hepatitis A and hepatitis B prophylaxis shots to plump up old gluteus maximus. Then once in theater the Dapsone and Chloroquine to keep you regular plus the inevitable booster shots, none were fun. These kids must have nearly the same regimen. Surely they must still use the gun for mass innoculations.

BTW WT, recruits, L to R in the photo, numbers 3, 4, 10, 14 may already be trained and only need refocusing. :)
