Fred Body Slams Huckster! Bada BOOM bada bing!

Fred on Huckabee and the Reagan Coalition

Fred Thompson quote:

"This is a battle over the heart and soul of the Republican party, and its future. One one hand, you have the Reagan Revolution and Coalition of limited government and strong national security. On the other hand, you have the direction that Governor Huckabee would take us in. He would be a Christian leader, but would also bring about liberal economic policies; liberal foreign policies. He believes we have an arrogant foreign policing, in the tradition of "blame America first". He believes Guantanamo should be closed down, and those enemy combatants brought here to the United States, to find their way into the court system, eventually. He believes in tax-payer funded programs for illegals, as he did in Arkansas. He has the endorsement of the National Education Association, and the NEA said it was because of his opposition to vouchers. He said he would sign a bill to ban smoking nationwide. So much for Federalism. So much for states rights. That's not a model of the Reagan Coalition. That's a model of the democratic party."

.

Other notes on the debate:

Asked about the United States response in a confrontation with Iranian speedboats, Fred Thompson said:

Fred on immigration and border security

.

Wild Thing's comment........

Holy Gorgonzola! That’s gonna leave a big, fat huckleberry mark. hahaha I love it!

God bless you Fred Thompson!

Fred Thompson owned the debate last night. He owned it. He dominated.

And Brit Hume won. He beat down Ron Paul beater than anyone else.

McCain, “Yes I do believe in Climate Change!” (note the new formulation “climate change” rather than “global warming”.

Ron Paul in a complete idiot and Mike Huckabee is his slightly smarter cousin!

If Fred makes it all the way, and please pray he does. I love thinking how he would slam dunk the opposing party candidate. OOHRAH!

This is from Jim Geraghty, NRO “The Campaign Spot”:

“Winner: Thompson. This performance was so commanding, I wanted his last answer to echo back to the lights in the back of the auditorium, blow out all the lamps and spotlights, for the theme to “the Natural” to play, and for him to trot around the stage in slow motion while sparks showered down in the background.”

Comments

Notice how McCain defended his Navy's INACTION after 5 Iraniac speedboats BUZZED three US Navy WARships? REAR ADMIRAL, eh? WE should have blown them out of the water.... "Men are from Mars...Women are from Venus... and Ron Paul is from Uranus via the Black Hole!"

Cousin Freddy was good last night, wasn't he?
He blasted away full force at the others. He wasn't making fun of them, just pointing out things they "conveniently" left out.
I hear he's suppose to get a BIG, MAJOR endorsement today or tomorrow. Wonder who it is? The NRA perhaps?
He's the best chance at a beautiful tomorrow and the voters are so used to RINOs that cousin Freddy scares them, I think. They don't like to hear the truth.

It sounds like the Giant has awakened. He has become animated this is what we want to see in a leader.

Huckabee is a liberal in F'ngelical clothing. There is nothing conservative about him.

"Huckabee's statement that he agreed with the court's sodomy ruling was made one week after the decision. According to Nexis, in that one week, the sodomy decision had been the cover story on every newspaper in the country, including The New York Times. It was the talk of all the Sunday news programs. It had been denounced by every conservative and Christian group in America — as well as other random groups of sane individuals having no conservative inclinations whatsoever.

The highest court in the land had found sodomy was a constitutional right! That sort of thing tends to make news. (I was going to say the sodomy ruling got publicity up the wazoo, but this is, after all, Christmas week.) So this little stretch-marked cornpone is either lying, has a closed head injury, is a complete ignoramus — or all of the above.

Huckabee opposes school choice, earning him the coveted endorsement of the National Education Association of New Hampshire, which is like the sheriff being endorsed by the local whorehouse."
(Ann Coulter)

The Huckabee rapture is in part of the media trying along with McCain to get rid of Romney. What Huckabee doesn't understand is once he and McCain kill off Romney, the Huckster will be next on the hit list.

But if Fred keeps up this kind of performance we will be in good shape.

Watching Huckabee and Paul reminds us of the brothers, Darrel and Darrel. Huckabee finally landed in a true conservative Repulican state and heard the message from a real conservative Repulican leader. God bless Fred Thompson!! It is time to send these liberal RINOs like Huckabee and McCain another hard message...either be a conservative Repulican are leave. We did not build this party for the past 25 years for the likes of Huckabee and McCain to hijack and play with for their personal agenda and ego. The Clintons and Huckabees need to return to Hope ARK. Keep up the march conservatives...it will be our victory!

Fred was great last night. I hope that now everyone else will please go home so that we may focus our attack on the three stooges on the left.

Oh, by the way. I didn't realize it at the time, but CNN WAS airing the DEM's debate last night. Here's the link

Fred Thompson last night was the presidential candidate that we have all been waiting for. I look forward to more performances like this one and some primary wins along the way.

Billy, thanks for the link. I enjoyed the debate. It may not be far from the truth as the gloves are off and a Democratic food fight might already be underway.

I did not see the debates. I do hope that Thompson has awakened, and has a game plan. I have criticized his sloth-like movement and surely hope I have been overly pessimistic about his chances. The big primaries are on the near horizon and will will know a lot more soon.

Mark, I sure hope so about Fred. It would be so fantastic. Good one by Ann Coulter thank you so much Mark.

I agree with you I think that is why the media is pushing so hard for Huckabee, because they want to get rid of him later.

Posted by: Wild Thing at January 12, 2008 12:01 AM

James Jones, Amen! Huckabee and Bill Clinton are disgusting and I have had enough of the Ark. contributions in the White House and in our government. grrrr
