NBC Reverses Decison on AD Thanking Troops

NBC Decides to Run Conservative-Group Ad

washington post

WASHINGTON

NBC reversed course Saturday and decided to air a conservative group's television ad thanking U.S. troops.

The ad, by the group Freedom's Watch, asks viewers to remember the troops during the holiday season. NBC had refused to air the ad because it guides viewers to the Freedom's Watch Web site, which NBC said was too political.

"We have reviewed and changed our ad standards guidelines and made the decision that our policy will apply to content only and not to a referenced Web site. Based on these amended standards the Freedom's Watch ad will begin to run as early as Sunday."

Wild Thing's comment........

Under pressure from outraged viewers is the only reason. Power To The People!

Too bad they don't want to run it because they are just plain ole grateful to our troops. But nooooooo that would be too much to ask. Whatever... better late, than never.

I stand by my decision to boycott, even if they sacked the amoral Alan Wurtzel, keep the pressure on NBC and it's parent organization, as well as ABC and CBS. We the people shouldn't have to intercede on the behalf of the media doing the honorable thing.
From 1960 through 1975 58,169 Americans went to their deaths, how many as a result of media leaks and collusion with the enemy?
How many American deaths have they caused since as a result of leaks to our enemies, by their telegraphing Congressional dissent, by their message that America is the aggressor?
Then they blatently censor an advertisement of support and goodwill because they are at opposites politically with the advertiser.
It doesn’t matter if you agree or disagree with the war, every public action will either help or hurt our troops, if it hurts – it’s treasonous. Dixie Chicks???
All Americans, while on any public forum, during any public appearance, have the OBLIGATION to REFUSE to answer ANY question framed in a way that will give AID or COMFORT to our enemy… or THEY TOO are GUILTY of AIDING the person asking the question to AID or COMFORT our enemy.
They MUST REFUSE to answer, until the question is RE-FRAMED in a way that will NOT give any AID or COMFORT to our enemy. Remember, if you will, that NBC sent Kevin Sites to Iraq as an embedded reporter, he had a personal agenda that fit NBC's agenda.
Their support of the troops doesn't extend to our troops or the United States.

Darth, I agree, I won't forgive them on little bit. They only changed their minds because of pressure and not from the heart.
