A Soldier And His Son ~ A Welcome Home

Staff Sgt. Jeremy Horkey holds his nine-month old son, Colton, while standing in formation Wednesday to be dismissed from active duty with the 79th Military Police Company.

''He's big,'' Horkey said of Colton, who was born after Horkey was deployed for Iraq. Horkey was given leave to be home for Colton's birth, but he hadn't seen the boy since.

Touching, I remember not seeing my own daughter for 18 months, so homecomings are a special event to me. They do get big in that length of time. Welcome home Staff Sgt. Jeremy Horkey and enjoy that gorgeous son Colton. Thank You.

That is one happy looking, and cute, kid. It would be nice to know that Sgt Colton will not have to be deployed again, or at least for a long time.

Jack oh wow 18 months, and what a lot of change can happen in that period of time with a baby and a child too.

Tom I agree, I hope he gets to stay with his family now.
