Murtha and Lee Harvey Oswald wore the SAME uniform. Both are communists and traitors in every sense of the word - 'TRAITOR'! Devil Dogs
are the best, but not this dog named Murtha...

Darth, exactly. Tim McVeigh was also a decorated (Bronze Star) combat veteran.

I saw this over at Linda's site WT, thanks for posting it here. Jason has that fat worm squirming, I suppose his era was the only honorable one and all that came before and after don't amount to anything, what a traitorous lowlife scumbag Murtha is!!! I'm supposed to believe what that rear eschelon poque has to say in slander of men he isn't worthy of emptying a bedpan for. Aside from that he is amongst the same league as the JAG generals that are accusing the special forces sniper team in Afghanistan of murder for killing a terrorist leader thay claim could have been captured. It's hard to stay civil, but they don't deserve the privilige to lead good troops.

Jack, I saw that last night about the Green Berets o the O'Rilley Factor. Some General is wanting to prosecute these men for shooting an enemy combatant on the field of battle. Interesting the General who wants prosecution was recently promoted to 3-Star.

Remember, when it comes to Generals, the president recommends and congress promotes. Same with their retirement pay. They can only retire at the 2-star pay grade unless Congress authorizes 3 & 4 star retirement pay grade. When a General goes after two of his own for taking out an enemy combatant on the battle field, me thinks he's trying to "grease the skids" for his future pay with a democrat congress. Unlike General Petrayus who said what the democrat controlled congress didn't want to hear...a man who cares more about his nation than his personal future.

Thanks Bob, the story is in the New York Times I doubt I'd have caught it if it weren't for O'Reilly bringing it up. You are absolutely right about the 'General' assessment, far too many from our era got there with their tickets punched with the blood of our fallen bretheren. Three star General Frank H. Kearney is showing his support for the troops and boosting their morale by persecuting two of his own men. We have seen the likes of them in politics lately. People like Wesley Clark readily come to mind to name only one, you know who the others are. I only respect one two star general, the one that visited my unit in Vietnam in the field, the one that pulled off his rank insignias and drank with we doggies, then he was there at McCord to welcome our sorry asses home when we DEROS'd back to Ft. Lewis, quite a contrast to this former two star and JCS knob polisher.

Most flag officers come out of the service academies where they are admitted via political appointment. Hence, a career beginning with politics. Many generals and admirals don't care a whit about the lowly workers known as troops. Troops are to be used.

How different it may have been if the a basic load of Marine generals had stood up for the Haditha Marines. The Commandant should have backed his Marines.

In Vietnam, generals fed troops into meatgrinder operations to establish a historical battle with of course the commanding general getting all the accolades from the great, but costly victory. Hamburger Hill in Vietnam was one such battle.

Since the Civil War, very few flag officers have been killed in battle. Might not hurt to have some 2 and 3 stars riding patrols in Iraq with the troops. Probably enough generals drawing combat pay to outfit a company or two.
