"Bad to the Bone" Video on Board the USS Carl Vinson

This video was made on board USS Carl Vinson. It is set to the George Thorogood song "Bad to the Bone."

Also has some coverage of taking out the enemy! Love it.

I work with a fellow law enforcement USN vet
that said this carrier was part of TOP GUN
movie fame? I also loved the movie
Final Countdown where the USS Nimitz went
back to Pearl Harbor on December 6, 1941!
Happy Hiroshima & Nagasaki A-Bomb
Anniversaries 2007.

The Cat-Shots are the most impressive. 0-170MPH in 2 seconds. The G forces are astounding.

An F-4 pilot I knew in the 70's told me that a 'cat-shot' was better than sex. At the time we were both married and he also said, getting insurance was a real trick, because of the risk.

But being that he was a Navy pilot and on a Carrier they were able to get coverage.

What About Marine Pilots I asked, He said, forget it, the insurance companies think they are nuts. And if they are able to get it all the premiums are out of sight.

This of course was for Pilots who were married, the single guys didn't have to worry about that.

It goes back to what we were told in Boot Camp,

"If the Marine Corps wanted you to have a wife they would have issued you one along with your 782 Gear"

Darth, I love those movies too. Thank you for telling me about this carrier too. That is so neat.

Mark wow that is really interesting. Thank you so much for sharing about that.

If I could be in charge of money for the Military I would make sure everyone had insurance for the service memeber, and top notch pay. And also a good pension and health care for every Veteran.
