Chertoff Keeps Throwing Hissy Fit

Chertoff rebukes Congress over bill
Washington Times

Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff yesterday scolded senators for failing to pass an immigration bill with new border and interior enforcement tools, refused to commit to spending the $4.4 billion in border security President Bush said is needed, and said the onus is now on Congress to pass something.

"We're going to say to the members of Congress who think they have a better way that they should produce legislation and pass legislation, which they have not done for the past two years," Mr. Chertoff said on "Fox News Sunday."
"They've tried 'enforcement-only.' That didn't pass. We've tried 'comprehensive.' That's stalled. I think it's now time for Congress, which has the power to legislate, to make a determination about how it wants to help us solve this problem," he said.

When pressed by host Chris Wallace about the $4.4 billion that Mr. Bush vowed during the immigration-bill debate to spend on border security, Mr. Chertoff said that money was to have come from fines paid under the bill's legalization program and thus said funding border security is now Congress' problem.

"Well, we've submitted a budget. We submitted a comprehensive immigration plan. We agreed on $4.4 billion, which was going to be secured by the payments made by the illegals, so it would not bust the budget. In the absence of that plan, I think now those who have a better way ought to come forward with that better way," he said.
"We're going to continue to enforce the law. It's going to be tough," Michael Chertoff said. "We don't really have the ability to enforce the law with respect to illegal work in this country in a way that's truly effective."

January 27, 2005 A jacket with a patch depicting a plane flying towards a skyscraper with the words "Midnight Mission" and an arabic patch was found along the Texas-Mexico border back in December. Just more evidence of OTM's (Other Than Mexicans) crossing our southern border at will.

Wild Thing's comment...........

The Homeland Security says he can't enforce our laws....pinch me so I can wake up from this nightmare!!! If you can’t enforce American laws in America, what are we doing in Iraq? This is NOT rocket science and the answers are simple. A child can understand about laws when explained to them, but not the head of Homeland Security or Bush or Kennedy or any of the nitwits that want us to cave in to the Illegals.

Can you imagine someone in Chertoff's position be so bound and determined to encourage illegals to stay, to come in to our country, well we have in this Chertoff character.

Michael Chertoff said. "We don't really have the ability to enforce the law with respect to illegal work in this country in a way that's truly effective."

Then, let's get someone who can! grow a bit tired of hearing what we can't do. You have to try, really try, and might just be surprised at what 'WE' can do.

Following this gutless logic we should eliminate laws against murder and robbery and all other crimes because they STILL occur despite the laws against them, right?
Wonder if he would mind his local police department thinking the same way when it comes to enforcing the laws protecting him from daily crime? After all, it goes on all around him regardless.

Too bad he's more concerned with putting his Border Patrol agents in jail than catching illegal aliens.

Maybe they need to pardon all the drug dealers and Organized Crime figures in prison. After all, they were just trying to put food on the table and better their lives through illegal activities, just like illegal aliens.

Someone asked if he was the only one to see the irony in Georgia. Well here is some irony for you. The recent bombings in England, we carried out by Doctors, some people thought this was incredulous, no not really. There are now 5 Jihadi doctors implicated in the Longon/Glasgow car bomb attempts.

The AlQueida leader is a Doctor Zawahiri, and a Pakistani named Affia Siddiqui is also a doctor. now here is the irony. She did undergraduate work at MIT, and graduate work at 'Brandeis'.

The Irony here, of course, is Barndeis is a Jewish University. Or in some circles it might be called Chutzpah.

So what are the chances of a Pre-med student of Jewish descent getting into a Muslem University ?

It is like what was said about the Indians, the only good Muslem is a dead one.

Of course we can secure the border. Quit lying Chertoff. You and your elitist band of merry globalists don't want the border closed to cheap labor. That $4.4 billion thru fines was never going to happen. Four billion is chicken feed in DC that you can come up with in a finger click. Hell, Dubya can give $30 Billion on a whim to "fight" Aids in Africa.

What does he mean he can't enforce the laws?
He's America's top policeman and lawmaker--as Tim Gunn would say, "make it work."
Don't just sit on your butt and do nothing.
Work the problem, find the solution and just do it.
That's what my dad always said.
And it works.

Can we deport him?
If I was to talk like that with regards to my job, my boss would replace me. Pansie crybaby. Suck it up, grow a pair and start doing what you get paid to do - enforce the laws.
