Awesome Video of 61st Cav RCT of the 101st Airborne Div.

Please CLICK on logo above.

I received this video from an unidentified soldier with the 61st Cav RCT (Regimental Combat Team) of the 101st Airborne Division. None of the FOB's (Forward Operating Bases) or the other locations can be identified, nor can the soldiers seen be identified or what the action signifies.

It's just a compilation of scenes and impressions of a tour in Iraq. No dogs were seriously injured in the dogfight shown at night.

Thank you to the soldier for allowing me to show this video to you my wonderful family here at TW. God bless our troops and keep them safe. They truly are the best of the best and I am so very proud of them.

It took a while to load but was worth every second. Awsome is an understatement!!! Thanks WT. I spent the summer of '67 in the Mojave beyond Ft. Irwin, July and August there left me without a sense of humor, I can only imagine conditions in Baghdad. I'm glad to see our young soldiers making the best of a bad situation in the hot and dangerous territory of Iraq. May God watch over and protect each and everyone of these precious soldiers. PS, which dogfight:)

Jack:

The dogfight in the night vision device.

Thanks Rhod, it was the first "dogfight" in the night vision device, not the second one, I had to back it up to see it again it went by so fast. still chuckling here. We had two dogs as mascots in Vietnam, a male and a female, Cocoa and Boom Boom, well named dogs, Cocoa, the male would go on the road with is, Boom Boom the tramp stayed in camp.

Heh. We had one in Tay Ninh, too. A little Sheapard (sp?) puppy we called Claymore, who wound up in the pot at the PHILCAGV compound nearby. The Filipinos snatched him.

My guess is, Cocoa and Boom Boom probably went to a better life in the same way, unless you could figure out a way to DEROS them.

You're probably right, those pups were rescued from that fate, they got the mother and we raised the pups on beer and powdered milk. We couldn't take them out of country, we tried. They stayed with the unit that replaced us, Boom Boom was an asset, she could hear incoming long before we could, and if she headed for the bunker you'd best be right behind her.

Mark try it the other way that I put up there, that might work better for those having trouble opening it.
I hope it helps.

The screaminh Eagles never change it is this young people that still lends hope to this country beset by liberal democrappers determined to destroy. I will always be proud of my brothers in OD green. They are in many ways like we were counting time till they become a 2 diget midget.
