72 Virgins Waiting for Arkin

The Troops Also Need to Support the American People

"So, we pay the soldiers a decent wage, take care of their families, provide them with housing and medical care and vast social support systems and ship obscene amenities into the war zone for them, we support them in every possible way, and their attitude is that we should in addition roll over and play dead, defer to the military and the generals and let them fight their war, and give up our rights and responsibilities to speak up because they are above society? "

Sick, vile Arkin needs a thrashing big time. Pick your weapon and any will do. I was raised that words mean something. And in that respect when it comes to this POS Arkin his words have now placed the mark of the beast of military loathers on his forehead.

Arkin has chosen who he serves in this world and it is not a choice nor is he a person I want anything to do with.

This turd Arkin just accelerated himself to the top of my personal shit list, he now ranks right up there with Fonda, Hayden and Kerry.

To say that our Military is well paid, is rediculous, and has no merit. There are military families on Welfare, for God sake, where is all this money they are suppose to have.

As far back as I can remember the Military has never been well paid. In 1963 I was pulling down a whopping $78 dollars a month and 3 squares a day and... and a place to live. IF you were married, however; you got a stipend from the government and government housing, Which the private had to pay for.

Because of this, the Marine Corps discouraged or tried to discourage Privates up to Lance Corporals from getting Married,... we were told in Boot Camp;

that "If the Marine Corps had wanted you to have a wife, we would have issued you one." This of course was not official Marine Corps policy, but the sentiment was that you can't afford one.

I heard about Military families on welfare about 20 years ago, and I was not surprised. I even wrote the Commandant, He wrote back or one of his staff, that they do not encourage young Marines to marry but can't very well discourage it either.

So where this nitwit Arkin gets the idea that our service Men and Women are well heeled, this guy needs a blanket party just to get his attention.

Arkin like all the other worthless liberals hate the Military and would rather they disappear, and this just puts the idea of the LIBERALS supporting the Military is pure unadulerated Bullshit.

William Arkin brilliantly summed up what a lot of Liberals actually think of our military. He put his attitude to paper where it can now be called back up for reference. Arkin really did the military and it's true supporters a favor, though unintentionally.

As I read his nasty vile, I visualize Hillary, Kerry, Pelosi and other Liberals also thinking this, even as they say they support the troops.

Arkin inhabits two classes antagonistic to the military. He's a liberal, and he's a journalist. He's also stupid, and quite probably a coward, having no understanding or curiosity about this issue.

I think I'm almost past the point where a worm like Arkin can make me angry. Almost. He's too far gone; he's an imbecile to boot, and a liar and a hypocrite. Philosophically, he's also a dolt.

There are three kinds of pacifists. Metaphysical (God forbids killing), practical (violence never solves anything), and existential (I can't kill, for lots of reasons).

All of them, in this country and elsewhere, benefit from at least the threat of violence done on their behalf. From soldiers, to police, to private security guards, the threat and actuality of force, of violence, generally guarantees the safety, possessions, liberty and well-being of other citizens.

Whatever one thinks of the Iraq War and the military in general, every HONEST critic of both needs to surrender all the benefits guaranteed by The Soldier. Pacifism without sacrifice is hypocrisy. Arkin is too much the dimiwitted slag to understand this, because as a liberal, he thinks liberty exists because HE exists.

What he's said to The Soldier is: "protect me, you shithead, where and when I want you to and shut up about it".

Fuck you. Arkin, you stupid, maundering dickhead. The Soldier will scrape you off his boots like the turd you are and do his duty anyway.

Ugh!!!! Maybe Arkin is patterning all soldiers after his Korean war hero private Ted Kennedy, the only wealthy soldier I know of. A lot of us started out at that $78/mo level, married, raised a family and spent an awful lot of time away from our loved ones either in combat zones or working a second job to support our families. Arkin supposedly spent 4 years in the Army, he should know better, but his true beliefs are those of Kerry, destroy the nation an replace it with Marxist Socialism. The function of government is to defend this nation against all enemies, foreign or domestic, maybe his vitriol toward our defenders is just that, he is a domestic enemy and the military is a direct threat to his existence.

Tom, yes he sure did. He put in one article a lot of what we have heard from the anti-war people, either from joe blow on the street, or politicians and the media.

Rhod.......
"What he's said to The Soldier is: "protect me, you shithead, where and when I want you to and shut up about it".

Your right, that is exactly what he has said and thinks.

Damn him!

Jack he sure is a domestic enemy, I wish I could meet him one day and tell him up close and personal what I think of him. I would just be a nobody doing this of course but it sure would make me feel good.
