Biden Brags He Has Lots of Experience for 2008 Bid

Sen. Biden touts experience in 2008 bid

NEW YORK - Democratic Sen. Joe Biden wants you to know he is running for president. Definitely. Unequivocally. Absolutely.

"I'm the only guy who will tell you honestly what I'm doing. The others won't tell you, but I will," Biden said, wrapping up a fundraising trip to New York before heading to New Hampshire, his ninth visit in just over a year. He's also campaigned extensively through other early voting states, spending 17 days in Iowa, nine in South Carolina, and four in Nevada.

In a potentially crowded Democratic field dominated by New York Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton and Illinois Sen. Barack Obama — neither of whom has formally entered the race — a Biden candidacy seems a bit of an anachronism.

But the 64-year-old Delaware lawmaker insists there's never been a better time for him to run.

"Frankly, I think I'm more qualified than other candidates, and the issues facing the American public are all in my wheelbarrow," Biden said. "I know I want to be president, I know what I believe and my message is important."

Wild Thing's comment...

And .. what experience would that be .. something like, lying, cheating, deceiving, usurping, obstructing, and did I mention lying ..?? Biden gives me the creeps, heck most of the Democrats do.

Comments

He looks okay in a suit, he has executive hair, he has excellent command of the language (when he lies) and he looks you right in the eyes (when he lies). Yup, excellent libtard choice.

Ahh yes Joe Biden the dummest man in the Senate. If there ever was a reason for forced sterilization he should be the poster boy.

Why not just run one of those lifesize cardboard posters instead. Couldn't be any dumber than the real deal.

I guesss up to this point he's just been...Biden his time !!!! (Groan)... He better watch out. It is much easier today to take a part of one of "his" speeches, google it and find out who originally said it first.

I see Biden as a viable candidate, one who has more gravitas than most, if not all, other candidates in the field; but he doesn't have the buzz quality of an Edwards or Obama and is barely making waves in the media concerning his candidacy. He also has a vote for the illegitimate war in Iraq on his record, something that other Democratic senators also have, and that is an albatross; that said, he would make a strong VP candidate, and I respect his ability and candor.

Thanks to Biden, I learned the word plagerism!

Posted by: TomR at January 4, 2007 01:30 PM

Never mind the plagarism; think of just who he was plagarizing: Neil Kinnock! This was at a time when the UK Labour Party was run by out and out Soviet stooges (like Kinnock), and even a good many Labourites quit and joined/formed the Liberal Party in disgust.

But what is really the sad truth is that Biden IS more qualified (in terms of political savvy and seniority) and has MUCH more character than the other Democrats who may be running in 2008. (Seriously, think Clinton, Dean, Edwards, Kerry, Kucinich, and Sharpton. Need I say more?)

Michael M,

I clicked on your website to see if you provided a link for me to send a donation to the "Wipe out Lunacy" fund. Aside from being disappointed at not finding one, I was mortified to learn that you are in education, which only served to solidify my position that our school system is failing us. Further, you are attempting to teach English! You may want to revisit you're choice of adjectives when desribing the war in Iraq as illegitimate, or Wesley Clark and Barak Obama as being high octane stars. Your support for John Edwards is equally laughable. Picture this, John Edwards and Newt Gingrich in a debate. Not one of those ABC or CNN 'rules' debates, but a real, open, everything on the table debate. Do yourself a favor. Go down the hall and sit in on a Government class, it doesn't matter what level. It sounds like you need to start over.

C'mon, Billy. Michael's written a great Biden pamphlet, and he's got that...that...Herman Melville sparkle to his prose.

Seriously, I respect Michael's opinion of Biden, because Biden's imitation of sterling intelligence is convincing as long as you don't listen closely.

And Michael's also right about the neutron-star weight of Biden's public persona. Obama and Edwards are meringue and Biden's a truckload of buckshot.

After some thought, it may not be a bad idea after all to have Biden run for VP. If Obama emerges as the top Dem and secures the nomination, it wouldn't take much of an error for a Cruise missile to accidentally take them out..... " Ah yes, that is affirmative, we have actionable intelligence as to the whereabouts of Obama Biden, Latitude N41 15 45, Longtitude W83 16 24, you are clear to launch"

Mark, hahahaha a real poster boy for it, I agree.

Posted by: Wild Thing at January 5, 2007 12:53 AM

razOr, he won't make it, no way. I don't think he has a very big following, only in his own mind. haha

Billy, Hahahahaa good one.....

Posted by: Wild Thing at January 5, 2007 01:02 AM

Rhod....so funny.

I have yet to make it through a speech or conversation that Biden does on the political talk shows. I get sooooo bored, like yadda yadda yadda alright already. hahaha
