Cheers of Allah Akbar in Reply To Ellison at Convention

Ellison encourages Detroit crowd to push for justice
StarTribune.com

DETROIT — Speaking in Dearborn, Mich., late Sunday night, the first Muslim elected to Congress told a cheering crowd of Muslims they should remain steadfast in their faith and push for justice.

"You can't back down, you can't chicken out, you can't be afraid, you got to have faith in Allah, and you got to stand up and be a real Muslim," Detroit native Keith Ellison said to loud applause.
"Allahu akbar" — God is great — was the reply of many in the crowd.
"Muslims, you're up to bat right now. . ." he said. "How do you know that you were not brought right here to this place to learn how to make this world better? How do you know that Allah, sallalahu aleyhi wasallam," (meaning peace be upon him) "did not bring you here so that you could understand how to teach people what tolerance was, what justice was? ... How do you know that you're not here to teach this country?"

The convention, which ends today, drew more than 3,000 Muslims from across the country for an event aimed at revival and reform. It featured workshops and panels on a range of topics from civil rights to politics to how to spread Islam in the United States.

We had faith in Allah," Ellison said. "And we patiently endured this adversity. And facing adversity bravely and with patience in the faith in Allah is an Islamic value. . . . That's what it means to be a Muslim."

He cautioned though that there might be more anti-Muslim attacks in the future.

Wild Thing's comment......

They want justice?! How about they start by honestly denouncing terrorism and Islamofascism first. Then they can stop funding it. Then they can stop teaching it to their kids. Then they can start assisting us in fighting it. This is so very sad. To have a group yelling "Allah Akbar" in my own country is upsetting enough. When they're lead by a member of Congress, it makes me sick and angry.

Funny how the press gave him a pass for invoking religion and God in politics.

Had a Christian republican invoked God and the crowd responded with "praise Jesus!! Thank God!!", the tone of the coverage would be totally different and the politician excoriated for mixing church and state.

CAIR would have had its drawers in a bunch, the ACLU would have filed lawsuits and the Democrats would have demanded an investigation.

Ellison, though, gets a pass.

A Muslim is going to teach this country tolerance? Muslim tolerance is getting thrown in prison for having a bible or non-Muslim worship service. Is that the type of tolerance he wants this country taught?

Can anyone imagine, if FDR had been politically correct and we had a bunch of Japs running around the country preaching to the many many Japanese citizens, like this Elison creep ?

No FDR put them in a camp for two reasons, 1. to keep them safe from the angry crowds (after Pearl Harbor there were alot of angry crowds) and 2. because he didn't trust them.

Can you imagine a couple of Japs being elected to Congress in 1942 (?) and carrying on like this creep.

Gitmo is a POW camp. (Period)...We had POW camps here in the United States, Primarily German, but all the same we had them here and amazingly no one complained about whether they were even being fed, which of course they were.

Now AOL is complaining about the number of deaths in Iraq, it has now exceeded the death toll from 9-11, the current Pearl Harbor. What do they want us to do ? Quit because that number has been exceeded.

Thanks to our lousy school system, kids don't learn history, this month marks the 62nd aniversary the of the 'Battle of the Bulge', it started Dec. 16 and ended 33 days later, The American Casualties were, 89,987. more than 22,000 KIA, 28,000 MIA.

Can anyone imagine what todays media would do with this kind of news. Also what todays media would not report is that WE WON THE BATTLE OF THE BULDGE.

The cost of freedom has to be paid by every generation otherwise it will be repossessed. That is the point we are at right now, make the payment or face the consequences...As the commercial says," Pay me now, or Pay me later", either way we will pay.

I am telling everyone right now this guy does not pass the smell test. I am sure we will be plenty of news concerning this guy and his associates.

These events will become more common. This is what happens when you are in a war of survival between cultures, and your leadership hedges on defining the enemy. Mark's analogy with FDR and the Japs is correct.

The enemy is; the religious sect known as islam. Anywhere there is islam, strife flourishes. islam does not even exist peacefully with itself.

There will be more Ellisons, with followers shouting "allah akbar". They do not want to co-exist peacefully beside the rest of us. They want to rule. Their "justice" would be our demise or servitude.

Our weak, and less than honest, leadership is failing us in a dual war on our culture. One enemy comes from the Mid-East and another enemy pours across our southern border in increasing numbers.

Justice would be if they packed up and left
after all arn't we "THE GRATE SATIN" yet they

Vilmar I agree you right, Ellison has gotten a pass big time. This is huge that Ellsion was elected and it should be a great concern to every America loving person. He better be watched like a hawk and I wish we had the media on our side to slam him each step of the way.

Bob amazing isn't it. This is a nerve that exists with Muslims that adds fuel to my anger about them.

Posted by: Wild Thing at December 26, 2006 01:17 PM

Mark so true, oh so true. I truly fear for what is happening with Ameirca.

Jack H. I pray that soon people will wise up, wake up and smell the stench that is growing from Ellison and other things we are allowing in this country regarding the Muslims. People want to put their heads in the sand and we just can't do that.

Posted by: Wild Thing at December 26, 2006 01:20 PM

Tom your right, I will never understand why it is so hard for our leaders to say it like it is.....we are at war with Islam. Simple and as dangerous as that and stop flowering it up all the time.

Posted by: Wild Thing at December 26, 2006 01:23 PM

Tincan Sailor, how funny is that. Like you said, we are the great Satan to them and yet they stay and other still try to get into this country. They want to rule over us and that is part of their plan. I pray that never happens.

I’ll make a deal with you!

I’ll go ahead and admit that your way of thinking is more important that every other religious group on the planet…

…When you publicly apologize to the Pope, kiss my Cross in front of the United States Capital building while singing all three versus of the “Marine’s Hymn” after eating a BLT, and provide fiscal restitution to every Coalition soldier’s family who has died trying to bring your 12th Century thought-process into the 21st Century…

…Until then, get back in line, you ain’t special!!

We will NEVER know how many acts of Sabatoage were prevented and American lives were saved because FDR interned the Japanese during WWII. The overwhelming majority of the Japanese in these camps were loyal Americans but their is no way of telling how many were loyal to the Emperor and ready to carry out his war on American Soil.

FDR and Clinton are two completely different types of Democrats. FDR did what he had to do in order to protect the United States. Clinton believes the immigration crackdown is hurting foreign students, the main source of terrorists, and that a bombing here and there is OK as long as the students come here to "study
