Hanoi Kerry Says It Is Hard To Have a View On CIA Officer

KERRY: 'IF YOU'RE LEAKING TO TELL THE TRUTH...' Sun Apr 23 2006 09:58:06 ET

Former presidential candidate John Kerry has come to the defense of a fired CIA officer accused of disclosing classified information to the press.

"I'm glad she told the truth but she's going to obviously -- if she did it, if she did it, suffer the consequences of breaking the law,' Kerry explained to ABC THIS WEEK.

MORE

ABC 'THIS WEEK' HOST GEORGE STEPHANOPOULOS: On another -- on another front, excuse me, CIA official Mary McCarthy lost her job this week for disclosing classified information according to the CIA probably about a WASHINGTON POST story which reveal revealed the existence of secret prisons in Europe. A lot of different views. Senator Pat Roberts praised action but some former CIA officers described Mary McCarthy as a sacrificial lamb acting in the finest American tradition by revealing human rights violations. What's your view?

SEN. KERRY: Well, I read that. I don't know whether she did it or not so it's hard to have a view on it. Here's my fundamental view of this, that you have somebody being fired from the CIA for allegedly telling the truth, and you have no one fired from the white house for revealing a CIA agent in order to support a lie. That underscores what's really wrong in Washington, DC Here.

STEPHANOPOULOS: That's one issue of hypocrisy but should a CIA officer be able to make decisions on his or her --

KERRY: ... Of course not. Of course, not. A CIA agent has the obligation to uphold the law and clearly leaking is against the law, and nobody should leak. I don't like leaking. But if you're leaking to tell the truth, Americans are going to look at that, at least mitigate or think about what are the consequences that you, you know, put on that person. Obviously they're not going to keep their job, but there are other larger issues here. You know, classification in Washington is a tool that is used to hide the truth from the American people. Daniel Patrick Moynihan was eloquent and forceful in always talking about how we needed to, you know, end this endless declassification that takes place in this city, and it has become a tool to hide the truth from Americans.

STEPHANOPOULOS: These --

SEN. KERRY: So I'm glad she told the truth but she's going to obviously -- if she did it, if she did it, suffer the consequences of breaking the law.

END

He says it's hard to have a view on it! How the hell is it hard to have a view on treason??!! Good freakin grief!

Hey idiot Kerry, she already admitted that she did it. The only place John Kerry will be honored is in Hanoi at the war museum.

Ain`t that something, dishonored the uniform he wore.

Never one view with Kerry. Either he has no view, or he has 12 views. The phoney, lying, wavering, traitorous, trecherous privileged bastard.

On the Old Useful Fools blog during the 2004 campaign, I maintained a section of the blog we called the John Kerry Sanity Watch. When he ran for state rep from Lowell Mass, a town to which he moved in order to run for the Mass State House, he claimed that people were starving to death within the city limits in 1974. He lived there, and couldn't deliver a bag of groceries?

At another time he re-staged some of his imaginary exploits in VN by revisiting the sites and filming himself in 8 MM in a mock combat operation.

On still another occasion he wrote a letter to his mother imagining himself as Winston Churchill ruminating on the drama of his own death in combat.

We had about seventy-five entries on the Sanity Watch. The blog is gone now, but I'll see if I can find my copies. It's astonishing. The man is clearly off his rocker.

Of course the traitor will stand up for another traitor, Kerry and Mary McCarthy have both jeopardized the lives of American sodiers in their quest to Communize this nation and bring down the current administration. Did two thirds of the Senate give this bitch a pass too? They have put their petty grievances ahead of what is best for this nation. They both belong on the gallows at Ft. Leavenworth.

Rhod omg he is crazy.I never heard about any of that. I felt he was nuts but that is like you said really off his rocker. (shaking my head here at how people would ever vote for this creep)
Thank you so much for this information.wow!

Jack I will never ever understand why our government allows people to get away with treason. This PC BS has gone on too long and has crossed the line so far that it has put our Nation in such danger. I agree about the gallows Jack too.

John F. Kerry and his trying to emulate his hero John F. Kennedy by using his own 8mm camera to shoot simulated war scenes to bolster his image. He is only trying to build his legacy on the farce that he is.
I suspect old Joe had a hand in making the movie PT109 starring Cliff Robertson made in 1963 six years before he died, about John F. Kennedy falling asleep on duty and becoming a hero for it. Joe was behind the scenes in making his son a hero and the President, Joe as a former movie company owner(sold to RCA) had connections that Kerry doesn't. Besides who is homely enough to portray him on the screen. He doesn't have the pedigree of the Kennedy's and as such he slinks around in their shadows as the great pretender. He could have had his NVA buddies film him on location doing his heroics but, most of the NVA film I've seen isn't that good. Although black and white is appropriate. What is he hiding that is so onerous that he can't divulge the contents of his form 180?

Hi Jack that sure is telling when he won't divulge his 180. Thanks so much!!
