Book'em Danno ~ Can You Hear Me Now Cynthia McKinney?

Remember this photo?....Cynthia McKinnery at an Anti-War Rally

Al-Qaeda apologist, and anti-Semitic congresswoman Cynthia McKinney Slugs a Police Office in the chest

.

Members of Congress do not have to walk through metal detectors as they enter buildings on the Capitol complex. They wear lapel pins identifying them as members. McKinney routinely doesn't wear her pin.

The police officer apparently did not recognize McKinney and asked her several times to stop and walk through the metal detector. The officer called out, "Ma'am, Ma'am," and walked after her in an attempt to stop her. McKinney ignored the officer's requests more than once, the sources said and the officer placed his hand on McKinney's shoulder.

The sources said that McKinney then turned around and hit the officer in the chest with her cell phone.

The deputy police chief and a representative of the House's sergeant-at-arms visited McKinney's congressional office Wednesday afternoon. Neither commented to reporters. The officer involved was not identified, but police officials said he was ready to press charges against McKinney – a rare, if not unprecedented, action by a Capitol police officer against a member of Congress.

Dick Williams, publisher of the Dunwoody Crier, told FOX News that McKinney has often complained of mistreatment of African-American members of Congress regarding security checks on Capitol Hill. Indeed, this is not the first incident with McKinney at a checkpoint.

"On a day when the Democrats unveil their national security agenda, it's probably not a good idea to allegedly strike a police officer," said Ron Bonjean, spokesman for House Speaker Dennis Hastert, an Illinois Republican

"The cop is pressing charges, and the USCP (United States Capitol Police) are waiting until Congress adjourns to arrest her, a source claims."

No charges have been filed. Capitol Police spokeswoman Sgt. Kimberly Schneider said senior officials have been made aware of the incident and are investigating.

McKinney is in her sixth term in Congress, after a one-term hiatus in 2002. The representative also is no stranger to controversy. She once apologized to a Saudi Arabian prince for former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani's return of a contribution after the prince criticized America in the wake of Sept. 11.

She also called for investigation of President George W. Bush, alleging that he knew in advance of plans for the terrorists to strike the World Trade Center and did nothing so his friends and family could profit financially from the tragedy.

According to the Drudge Report, the entire incident is on tape.

The story is changing/evolving into the racist rant...............

A statement attributed to McKinney has been released on the Internet, where she allegedly claims to have been harassed by Capitol Hill Police.

The statement's writer says that she has been harassed by white police officers she says do not recognize her due to her recently changed hairstyle.

"Do I have to contact the police every time I change my hairstyle? How do we account for the fact that when I wore my braids every day for 11 years, I still faced this problem, primarily from certain white police officers," the statement says.

The writer details the incident, saying, "I was rushing to my meeting when a white police officer yelled to me. He approached me, bodyblocked me, physically touching me. I used my arm to get him off of me. I told him not to touch me several times. He asked for my ID and I showed it to him. He then let me go and I proceeded to my meeting and I assume that the Police Officer resumed his duties. I have counseled with the Sergeant-at-Arms and Acting Assistant Chief Thompson several times before and counseled with them again on today's incident. I offered also to counsel with the offending police officer."

Wild Thing's comment............

Maybe she can ask a Saudi sheik to fund her legal defense.

She has put herself above the law as a 'lawmaker'. This is an example of how Democrats view security, and she exhibits it at a time her party is unveiling their Security Plan. It doesn't get much better than this. The poor cop will get busted for doing his job and she'll get praised by her 'Comrads" for ignoring the law and the rules.
